You got caught in the loop at the very end but cleanly edited it out 😂

Not so clean that you didn't catch it apparently "⭐" The rest of the video was too good to re-shoot the whole thing haha good eye

@@joshdelefortrie5109 Well done though. Smooth and thorough. Your videos are helping to see all the different ways you can skin a cat. Keep up the good work.

I dont think they caught in any loop. The casualty care sling was the only thing "catching" them in the loop.

What is the knot at 6:00 called, please? It sounds like you said "kneeler knot". Could you also tell me a bit more about "escaping the system". Thanks again.
@Pacificropes7 күн бұрын
Absolutely. I say "mule" knot, which is essentially the tie off for a "munter"...look up "munter mule" and you should be able to find something. When you tie off to the grillon, it keeps the connection system (and casualty management tie off) attached only to the spine of the I'D carabiner...When the casualty reaches the ground, their weight is suspended by your descender carabiner and therefore you can open the gate and remove your d-ring without being attached directly with either point; this leaves the casualty slightly suspended, just off the ground, and you can move away so medics can put a stretcher under the casualty and you can lower them out without sitting on top of them.

at 5:45min the mistake was made you went up above the loop not under when adding the sling to the chest to you.
@Pacificropes6 ай бұрын
Yes, you are correct. The pick sling for casualty management was placed over the loop, easily removed and re-installed. Had they been the main points of connection to the casualty it would be a much more difficult mistake to fix. This has been noted haha good eye! (:

Great presentation but why not get into transfer of loop with casualty directly in front of you make attachments pick off from croll(3:1) and lower casualty i.d onto you; with you prepped for rope to rope transfer effectively. Just transfer back and descend :) ps: transfer in with additional i.d you will have two for this method :)
@joshdelefortrie51094 жыл бұрын
Yep, that's definitely way that it could be done. I didn't do that because I had no intention of going the other way, and I didn't want to mess around with extra equipment. There is a disclaimer at the beginning precisely for this reason. There are a bunch of other available videos showing that method (:
