Large termite nest and infestation in a house in Byron Bay

Presently half way through rebuilding my two story home infested with termites after having three separate treatments. I have had to completely rebuild from the bottom plate lower level up to top plates upstairs, including all lentils, joices, flooring and main bearer. My suggestions include: Inspect regularly during build; have any inspections and treatments to include inside of house not just perimeter of house; insist on behind wall checks with light strobe, be willing to patch up holes and paint over after inspection. I was told by 2 separate builders to demolish At my age in retirement that would have sunk me, so I decided to rebuild myself. Luckily I found a retired Building Engineer who came to the rescue and advised and guided me, he didn't do much physically as he is 93 yo. Builder's quotes were starting at $100k+, me supplying materials, timber etc. I am almost have way through rebuild taking my time and have all timber to complete and so far cost has been under $10k, I am expecting around $15k I am not a builder but very handy, I do everything by myself. I bought a lot of 2nd hand acros and timber support which I will sell for the price, cheaper than hiring. I'm almost 72 and only get help when lifting beyond my capacity,

Thanks for the informational video, as I probably would not be watching unless I myself haven’t recently discovered this in my house, I found a picture frame that came down in one of my rooms in my house and low and behold these little pest have infested in thru my wall and even ate thru the picture, any advice except just calling the professionals? Is it possible that this is happening in other parts of my house? Thanks for any advice.
