Largest democracy in the world goes to the polls, as India has its say

The world's largest election is under way, with close to a billion people eligible to vote. The first day of polling is taking place in 102 constituencies, across 21 states and territories.
The massive logistical exercise will take more than a month to complete, with incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking a third consecutive term.
