PPP basis is arguably more useful when comparing differences in living standards between nations. A haircut in New York is more expensive than in Lima; the price of a taxi ride of the same distance is higher in Paris than in Tunis, and a ticket to a cricket game costs more in London than in Lahore. PPP is an exchange rate at which one country's currency is converted into that of the second country to purchase the same volume of goods and services in both countries. If a hamburger is selling in London for £2 and in New York for $4, this will imply a PPP exchange rate of 1 pound to 2 U.S. dollars. PPP exchange rates are relatively stable over time. The drawback of PPP is that PPP is harder to measure than nominal.

Yes India is poor. But not very poor. Germany gdp ppp per capita (actual purchasing power per person ) is around 60k dollars and an Indian GDP ppp per capita is around 10k dollars. That' means a German person is 6times richer than an Indian. But India's huge population is under poverty.

It’s all about population density and culture, Nigeria already is one of the most density populated country’s in the world, China and India and Indonesia as well, Brazil and America are the only ones that go forward. China and India historically are the two most ancient and greatest human civilizations, Indonesia have a huge density and a huge maritime territory, that garante that they have a huge control of the southeast Asian sea, while the Chinese economy grow the Indonesia economy grow as well, Nigeria have a especial geography with a huge navigable river passing over all the interior of the country, and a strong and resilience culture that came from one of the most ancient and respected African civilization, Brazil have the same thing Nigeria have, strong culture values also actually the same as Nigeria have because of the Yoruba culture in Brazil and many huges navigable rivers, but also Brazil have huge natural resources and some technologies literally just can be create in Brazil because of this. America GDP it is not slowing down, is the other countries that are cacthing them over, America also is slowly destroing it self and probably gonna split in many states in a civil war very soon

Good video but it seems like the Indian guy was not prepared for this video and was just interested in praising India. For example, he was asked what happened in 2014 and he did not even mention BJP and PM Narendra Modi taking over. Also with regards to India's huge population, he should have known that the current Indian fertility rate is low and that Indian population is going to reduce in size over the next 50 years. Since he was not prepared, he just kept saying "we Indians will work hard work hard" As for why Nigeria and Pakistan's economy is growing fast, that is obvious, they both have big populations
