With the size of the garden, I would highly recommend speaking to a local beekeeper in your area and setting up a hive or two at the back for some local garden pollenators. You already have wasps so bees should be happy enough.

It's a hill top in France. There is literally thousands of years of people making use of that land, and the chateau was probably built by someone who would have had an extensive manicured garden. I would assume the soil is probably quite thoroughly worked by this time

Don't forget your children. A friend of mine set out her trees for a soccer field. She had the most popular house in the area. You are fortunate to have so much play space. After you finish the landscaping; rent a log splitter and chipper and make wood chips and fire wood. All that "trash" will be gone in a year. Your project is extremely inspirational!! Thank you for these videos.

I never really paid much attention to how much land space there is inside the walls of the Chateau. Maybe it was because of all the brush that was there. After you cleared out the brush, it's a huge space. That’s going to be one huge Maze and Fruit Garden. Anxiously waiting for the garden and roof to be done. I hope you guys can finish the turret before the snow hits.

The size of your project is enormous. It is extremely impressive to see your continuing motivation and perseverance. Those factors will lead you to great deal of success in your life. People seem to buy these château without any of the skill set that you are developing you can be a top notch Château Builder. You can also offer courses on skill set necessary to redevelop aging château. Finally, you could also set up a château maintenance program.

Yo Dan! Rent a wood chipper. Chip up all that wood you cleared and spread the chips over your garden. It will add the nutrients back into the soil.
