First ever KBFNC and had a BLAST! Was awesome seeing all the top dawgs fighting it out. Craziest catch was a toss up, caught a 16in smallie on the new Z-man Hellraizer in practice, then on day 1 caught a drum on a rattletrap. Best was an 18.75 with a jackhammer on day 3.

Technically I used a rod and reel with that line. It snapped off the rod and reel. It’s called the snap line off technique and catch

I personally would have gone to the tournament director and explained what happened, even it hurt my place standing. I'm not saying at all that's what you should have done. I'm only saying what I would have done. Only because it confuses me. It was pretty funny and one of those one time things you could only hope to catch on a vid.
