An incredible organ from Spain. Its amazing that an organ from 1762 is still in such good condition. Paul, your demonstration allowed us to hear all of the unusual pipe sounds. So many reeds and trumpets with a very distinctive sound . Obviously with the simple bass buttons rather than pedals, the organ literature of this time and place was nothing like that of Germany. This is a historic instrument and this video is a permanent recording for future generations. Thank you for your important work.

Never seen that arrangement previously, but I have encountered two organs with just two stumps of lever/pedal for C and G; one of those was in a Sydney harbourside (South Head) chapel and had once been in the possession of none other than Napoleon - I played with Napoleon's organ. If I ever get around to building an organ for my house I would have my primary trumpet chorus timbered to Spanish temperament. These are haunting reeds that send shivers down my spine. Ideally I would take the best properties of each European nation and put them together into one organ that can do baroque, classical and romantic music. I’d have to say trumpet chorus and regal would be Spain, principals would be German, Strings and Celestes are a French specialty, flutes are a combination of German and French timbres. French for the Crumhorn, British for the Oboe standalone, but French for the Bassoon-Hautbois hybrid stop. I also like the nature of the Spanish baroque split keyboard so I would want to have split manuals on mine with the option to toggle between Spanish style split and unified keyboards like other nations.
