Hey! Welcome to the 43rd episode of my poker vlog. I created this channel to share some hands i've played along with creating a community of people who want to get better and discuss poker hands.
LARGEST POT OF MY LIFE AT GOLDEN NUGGET CASINO!! | Poker Vlog #43
In this episode, I head over to the Golden Nugget for some uncapped 1/2 action. We buy in for $2000 at the 1/2 and immediately get into some insane hands! I end up being stuck a little bit on the session! Thanks for watching my Wolfgang Poker vlog!

Sort of 1/2 in name only. Seems like an inducement to be reckless. Lots of chips, when it is easier to manage with larger denomination chips, cash plays, mostly has been eliminated. An ego thing. Be careful. Pick your spots when you have the absolute nuts, let the others be reckless. Good luck.

So you're saying you're calling a $5000 all in with a pair when there's a straight and possible full house on the board? I mean, the guy with the pocket 5s was semi-bluffing that hand, and the guy with QQ was just a complete idiot. Ethan's fold was not unreasonable at all. And if you say you would have called there, I would love to know what room you're a regular in.

The turn gave the guy a up n down straight draw with the nut flush draw with the Jack and then Ace of clubs so he was drawing n like he said if he missed he was shoving all in. So him having he Ace of clubs gave him the nut blocker except for straight flush. M he could represent the nut flush with the ace of clubs.

Both this and Rampages video are great examples of why you dont buy into a $1/2 game for multiple thousands of dollars... If you are so deep, you can only call a jam with the absolute nuts, you have far too many Big Blinds on the table (too much money). Sometimes you are just going to need to call... even with the J10cc hand. If you have a *reasonable* amount of *only* *500* *big* *blinds* you can just ship it on the turn, and not have to make a tough decision. Like I get it... its great to have that much when you super cooler someone with Quads over a Full House or something, but its far more likely you will want to call with middle set on a kinda scary board or something like that, than super bad beat jackpot cooler.

From my days as a grinder usually players who do this always over bet the pot pre and post and play a hyper aggressive pot or all in strategy from the jump to force the smaller stacks to wait for hands and when they do open pre the monsters call with anything and over exploit the pre flop pairs of smaller stacks marrying hands pre not consdiring board texture and odds ....in other words played a certain way deep stacks destroy tight players who buy in low to med

There's plenty of scenarios where J10 clubs is the best hand there. Its a board where plenty of more skilled players will be shoving the river on with all kinds of bluffs, including sets and straights. He's not going to win that hand enough times to justify the call, but its not like that hand is never good in that spot.

Unlucky mate, imagine 7 or queen of clubs on the river. But looking back on this hand, do you think a 4 bet all in on the turn could be a better move? If he already hit a higher flash on the turn with a hand like Ace Five of clubs, he is most likely to keep firing the river. So you wont get easy showdown anyway. What I mean by that is if the river was a clean or blank card, he went all in, you probably still had to call.

Wolfgang, I generally find you to be a pretty polarizing character .... neither bad nor good comment, just my opinion. My respect for you went up a ton with this Golden Nugget video. You played well, narrated well and fared better than your buddy Rampage who I don’t think played well or was thinking straight. I’m not dissing on your boy Rampage ... I love him, follow him, am seeing many growth in aspects of his game. Rampage just super disappointed with his overall play and “what iffing ” at the Golden Nugget. Wolfgang, you had decent perspective of what this game at the Nugget represented .... I’d try this game at the Nugget based on your video, play aggressively but not foolishly ... just as you demonstrated in your video man. Good, well played VLOG Wolfgang. Monk Man aka Monkster
