Of course I don't know first-hand, but the Eastern Front had to be a nightmare 24/7 for anybody that participated in it... attrition on a biblical scale not unlike it was in The Great War, World War One...but with a bunch of technical advances in mechanical and air warfare. Even with that, the bottom line was to just kill more of your opponent than what your side lost. How horrible it must have been to see the dead and dying all around you for as far as you could see. Losses that weren't counted in the tens or hundreds of thousands, but millions. In looking back on it, the world was probably lucky, in some morbid and sick way, that Hitler was mad enough to open two major fronts at the same time or the history books may very well be quite different than they are now. Scary thought.

Do you mean the IS -3 ? The heavy tank with an 85 mm Cannon that could Penetrate all of the German tanks.What it had over the Tiger was the sloped armour which meant that all of your rounds would dink off like rocks. The tiger traded 1-3 with t34s and 1-10 with Shermans. And BTW the Tiger was a heavy tank , so it numbered far less than the normal panzers.

@@forosta the soviets were shit because they had poorly trained military personnel the three reason they won the war was because the British broke that code which the Germans were communicating with, hitler was stupid, the allied bombings on german factories which lead to a lesser amount of vehicles than those shitty communists
