Respectfully disagree. Defending wrestling is easier than wrestling offensively. When u got 2 elite mma wrestlers with maxed out endurance and toughness, neither one wants to be the one initiating a wrestling match. And while both of these guys have very little KO ability for championship level fighters, they have overall pretty decent striking game and good pace, so it was quite obvious it was gonna be a good fast paced kickboxing match. The ending was unfortunate and questionable from a sporting perspektive, but can't say i feel sorry for Colby xd

Not to oversimplify, but that is more or less the extent of Colby's range as far as game plans if you take wrestling out of the equation. Dude is an absolute cardio/stamina monster and absolutely no slouch in the grappling department but at no point in championship rounds was there a moment where I thought there was really any additional insight to be offered. If any of the coaches or Colby himself thought that at any point during the camp there was something to be gained by wrestling w/ Usman, there would've been at least 1 take down attempt at SOME point regardless of whatever was or was not said in the corner between rounds. It's not like Colby is going magically gain years worth of experience in the boxing game and start slipping Usman's straight punches, and lets not forget that the score was arguably 2-2 going in to the 5th round (where Colby cane out pretty strong IIRC, even though I personally had rounds 2, 3, and 4 for Usman). His entire skillset is geared towards wearing fighters down and being in a better position in the championship rounds, and if he was arguably sitting on 2-2 going in to the final round, what additional advice or changes to the strategy were there to consider?
