I agree Larry’s was more impressive only because he was a linemen, but if you compare the gap metcalf ran way more and also was faster than baker, meanwhile you can see that Larry Allen barely caught the linebacker by the end of legs meaning if the gap was just a little smaller Larry wouldn’t of caught up, still I agree Larry’s was better by far

Larry Allen was by far the more impressive of the two. Metcalf was impressive as well, but compare the two by detail and you'll see how Allen was so much better. Not a speedy LB Allen and Conner had similar 40 times and Allen had the AOP on him. But yes a man as big as Larry shouldn't be able to move like that 1:36 or 1:37 watch Metcalf pick a spot on the field about where he'd catch up to him. In a split second he gauged Baker's speed and his and said to himself "right there I'll get him"
@elitemidrange Жыл бұрын
Conner was a track star in high school, you can’t just use a 40 time to gauge whether someone is fast or not. I agree that this wasn’t a “chase down” though because while Allen was basically still when Conner caught the ball, he was still 7-8 yards ahead of Conner while also having an angle so that helped.

This is easy. Larry Allen. The interception is made at the 42 second mark. Larry Allen is standing at the 37 yd hash mark and he's facing where the interception occurred. Allen turns around and starts chasing Connor at the 46 second mark. This is after Connor has already taken 5 steps and is at about the 33 yd line. They are about 10 - 12 yards apart from each other. Baker makes the interception at about the 3 yd line. Metcalf is already running across the field at about the 2 yd line when he sees the interception. He turns up field to chase Baker, who is about 3 - 4 yds ahead of him and about 8 - 10 yards away from him.
