My band and I were tying to get booked into the Drake up in Madison In. Larry's band was billed that night. We met him briefly, then to a near empty house, you heard 90% of why John Cougar made it. Larry slung a telecaster, had full band with violinist, had smooth stage presence and just made that little club sound like you were listening to a record. Yes, he is that good. I will never forget that encounter. Me and my mates looked at eachother and laughed hysterically! Once we finally calmed down, we all agreed what we just heard is the vocals, guitars and whole band sound of Mellencamp. Amazing Mellencamp owes plenty for Larry's talent writing and performing in that band. No doubt

Silly comment. Mellencamp has beeing doing his stuff for 50 years. Crane is doing seminars at music stores to make a living. Think before you say such stuff. He was an influence just as Arnoff was but John has that great voice and is a Hall of Fame song writer.

I'm from Florida and bought it in an Orlando record store because I was a massive Mellencamp fan. And Larry had a track on the soundtrack, Falling From Grace I really liked alot. I don't care for this version compared to the original on the EP. The EP is solid and still one of my favortie albums I still carry with me. I still have that original CD with the receipt.
