@@kJ922-h3j Yeah, the pervasiveness of American media makes it more easily understood, but there’s a lot of regional accents you’ve never heard unless you’ve been to those places that you’d probably puzzle over. The Wire was one tv show that actually used a few characters with strong regional accents and when it aired it was a meme that non-Americans (and some Americans) needed subtitles to watch it.

Just go watch the beginning of the movie if anything and you'll get an idea of what I mean. He's smoking pot in a military test chamber and then starts doing like some big band impression, complete with a fake little kazoo he's playing by humming basically and even adds in a little drum fill.

We've got plenty of smug and dry comedy talent out there which is fine, but you can just tell how much Bill loves and enjoys the craft and I'm sure that's another reason why people love working with him, it's the purest kind of creativity

i always thought being friends with a great comedian (or dating/being married, for those who do that) would be fun. exclusive jokes.

I watch old B&W movies from the 40s, and I would watch the bits on SNL where they impersonate the actors, and I'm thinking, surely only 5% of the audience knows who the hell these people are? How many people under 50 would know who Gloria Swanson or James Mason are?

I am amongst the many discovering how brilliant and talented Bill Hader is on so many levels. He has been, and I finally get to use this term, “underrated” for so long. At least to me.

Absolutely love this guy! The way he laughs so hard makes him the anti-fallon for me. It's about authenticity. His doorman sketch with Fred made me laugh so hard.....the Californians with K Wigg were hilarious....Stephan.....so much great stuff to laugh hard at!
