I am a proud Oracle alum. Had the sincere privilege of seeing Larry live at what was then called OpenWorld. Everyone should experience seeing him deliver a Keynote live. I only wish he would perhaps interact more with customers and employees, maybe doing a town hall/open forum.

its a credit to Larry Ellison that he knows his tech very well. too many company leaders are just full of themselves with zero understanding of tech while Oracle has been not liked for its license terms, its actually well known. and the product was born in the era as such Currently the world has moved to services and opex based budgets. Oracle has tried to change itself for the better Here is is at an age when everyone is wrapping up for the end of days and Larry is focused on building the future...not yesterday or today but the future respect

@matthewlake1788Ай бұрын
@@ylparker5832 Yeah I've heard different variations of this for years. "wait til you are 25, 30, 35, 40". Of course there will be a time when things go down hill, but it's different for everyone. But here I am still getting mistaken for being 22 in real life (just a few days ago) and a teenager or early 20s on the phone. I've done calorie restriction since I was 18 years old (1550k/cal day on average), protected my skin since I was 16, and have been fit almost my entire life since I was about 5. I'm in a really good position and 99.9% of everyone I grew up (around my age) looks a lot older than me now, including all my cousins, my sister and brother who are clsoe to my age. So I'm quite hopeful I can make it to my mid to late 50s at least in good shape. And by then, hopefully we'll have better ways to reverse aging.

@ramsrinivasan11052 ай бұрын
They are not the same. RDS is a PaaS service by AWS where they do not use Oracle's engineered system the Exadata and all the autonomous software around it. It has other constraints.
@waldude2 ай бұрын
@@ramsrinivasan1105rds is an IaaS service with additional functionality, and definitely not PaaS. It still requires you to buy oracle db licenses and add ons. The only true PaaS is DBCS and Exadata cloud service for autonomous db

If you haven't yet given your life to Jesus and want to do so now, pray this prayer." *Lord God, I come to You, as a sinner that I am, in the name of Jesus to ask for forgiveness for my sins. Forgive me, Lord, my sins. Help me to improve, I cannot do it alone. Deliver me from all evil, for I want to walk in Your presence seeking to do good. Make new all the things in my life that do not please You. I ask that You enter my life so that I may have eternal life that comes after this life that You have granted me. And to have salvation so that I will not suffer eternally. Amen to the God who made me and loves me. We love God because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19.*

Oracle, like many others tech behemoths and their charismatic leaders, have been constantly wrong in forecasting tech trends. Remember when Larry poopooed Cloud after buying Sun? 😂 All this to say, timing is not everything, money is. And gaslighting. Except when Oracle got trounced by Microsoft on AI, ffs. 😳 Even a broken clock is right twice a day after all…
