As sad as I still am about that game, Aaron Rodgers proclaiming that they would run the table after being taken to the woodshed by the Redskins, and then upsetting the #1 seed in the NFC is an absolutely incredible story. I remember watching the end of that Packers Redskins game inside a pizza hut laughing at the packers. God, it still hurts.

Not even close to 50/50. Only about 30% of the Packers' plays went further than 2 yards - and that's with usually a lot more space to work with and often soft coverages. Their goal line and red zone play was abyssmal as well. Yes, they averaged 5.4y per offensive snap, but take away the 3 big plays and this dips to 2.7y. And mind you, for a 2PC it's not about the average but about the median. So no. The Packers managed to stay in the game because every now and then they completed a big play, not because they reliably moved the chains. If a 2PC were 3 downs from the 20, it might have been a 50/50, but with just a single attempt from the 2, it would have been suicide.

Never forget this game. I was watching it with some friends of mine at a college party. I’m a Vikings fan and my friends and I were still bitter about Blair Walsh’s missed field goal. When Rodgers threw that Hail Mary at the end of regulation, one of my buddies got so upset he walked out left. I’m just glad I stayed so I could see the unbelievable finish. Actually it does show one MAJOR problem. The overtime rules, the OT rules need a complete rework.
