Hearing Larry give accolades to this gentleman is huge. Larry doesn't strike me as someone who just hands out compliments to just anyone.... He's sincere with his words and feelings. A true stand up guy who really loved Elvis. God bless you Larry.

Mr Geller is one of the few guys who actually cared about Elvis Presley the man and not just Elvis Presley for his money. He's also one of the few people who sees the bigger picture of Elvis and has never talked poorly of Elvis. I believe Mr Geller rather than some of the other leeches, including the Stanleys. Thank you, Mr Geller and RIP, Elvis. You will never be forgotten and your legacy will live on forever.

+anna maria facchiano Hello Anna Maria ! I agree with you... a true friend. Larry loved Elvis and so supportive, respectful, and caring of him. I know Larry would never of hurt Elvis, and not even in Elvis' death. He understood so much about Elvis, where it was harder for other people.
@annamariafacchiano16889 жыл бұрын
MaryElizabeth99 Yes, Larry was a true friend and,being a spiritual and inquisitive person, had a great influence on Elvis.He gave him many moments of serenity and joy,understanding his inner side and answering many quetions that troubled his soul. That's why the MM (not all of them) didn't like him,they were more disposed to the material aspects of life.As you rightly said, after Elvis' death everybody gave interviews and wrote books,and also now they are talking about their life with the king in different occasions.We must be careful and we must not believe whatever they say. Larry is sincere and reliable. Thank you for answering me and have a nice week.

+anna maria facchiano I loved what you said Anna Maria. Yes, Larry is sincere and reliable. Each time I watch Larry on a video or read any of the books he wrote or co-wrote, he is so caring and loyal to his friend Elvis. I don't own any books written by the MM. I did recently purchase Ginger Alden's book, but have not read it yet. Have you read her book? I do believe some of the guys around Elvis were true to him -- George Klein and Charlie Hodge I do feel were genuine friends. I can really see Elvis was inquisitive in his mind about the truth of life. He was a deep thinking man. As you say, Larry gave many moments of joy and serenity to Elvis, and I am so happy for that. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall and listened to them talking !! :) Elvis would have felt so much more alone without Larry in his life. Are there other MM you believe were loyal to Elvis and his memory? You know much more than I do. I watched a video last night where George Klein invited Larry to talk at his annual gathering in Memphis. It was a good talk, but I could never find the Part 2 video !! I moved 3 weeks ago and it was a very hard move, and expensive. I am trying to recover from it. I also had a fall in house on tile and trying to recover, so have not spent as much time on computer, but still try to each day. Please also have a beautiful week. I am so happy to read of people who love Elvis so much and are protective of him, such as yourself Anna Maria. You are a loyal fan to Elvis memory and so am I. When I read negative comments about Elvis, I find I always feel sad.
@annamariafacchiano16889 жыл бұрын
MaryElizabeth99 Dear MaryElizabeth, I thank you sooo much for your beautiful comment;it's really a pleasure to talk with you.First of all I must tell you that I don't know more than you do. I am Italian and live in Rome where I had a lot of difficulties to find books about Elvis.I found only four and, fortunately ,among them there are the two volumes by Peter Guralnick who,as you know, is the most accurate and reliable Elvis's biographer.You are lucky that you can bought whatever you want.So, what I know comes from the books KZbin and Google.About the MM besides the name you wrote I would add the name of the man who loved Elvis more:his cousin Billy Smith,and then Jerry Shilling,Lamar Fike and Marty Lacker (there is a long and interesting interview on Google). I don't like very much Joe Esposito, who considered himself the ,best of all and who, on every occasion,also now affirms to be the King's best friend He, was a sort of spy requested by Col. Parker who wanted to know everything about Elvis' private life.Sonny and Red West for a certain period were true and loyal and,unlike Joe, they understood about music, but just in the most difficult period, when Elvis was very sick and near to die they, wrote the famous book "Elvis, what happened?" revealing all the negative aspects of his private life (drugs,changing mood etc.)This broke Elvis' heart and tried to offer them money , but they published the book anyway.And the reason of their bad blood was that Vernon had fired them with only one week of notice and a little liquidation. forgetting all that they had received in the past: money, cars, jewels houses,help,a luxury life and above all care and love. Because we know that Elvis gave love and loyalty. As far as Ginger Alden is regarded,I could not read her book,because here it's not availble, but I read a lot about her and saw her interview.I'll tell you why I don't like her,next time if you like. I don't want to bother you. But I want to wish you a speedy recovery from your fall and a happy life in your beautiful new house.Elvis for ever! Hugs,AnnaMaria.

+anna maria facchiano I love talking with you Anna Maria, but not so much on You Tube where it's all out there !! :) You seem to know so much next to me. I really love to read about Elvis' spiritual side, and also his feelings of the loss of his twin brother. I read last night that Elvis told Larry he felt lonely all his life, even when his mother was alive, because he missed having his brother. I thought how sad it was that Elvis was not able to share his life on earth with his twin. Since Elvis died, I heard so much about the MM, including that book Elvis was hurt over his guys writing, but have never read anything. I don't want to buy one of the MM books, but have more recently watched some of them talking on You Tube. I wondered if you lived in Rome or where in Italy. Elvis recorded a song about Rome...I just saw the title the other night but have not listened to it yet. Eventually, I will listen to all Elvis' songs. One of my favorite songs that Elvis covered is "Let It Be Me". I live in San Diego, California. I was born here (1952), and so was my mother in 1924. My father grew up in Los Angeles in 1926 to 1939, and then he went into the Navy. I never go to LA anymore because it's not beautiful and special to me as it once was. I have Peter Guralnick's book, Volume 2 (Careless Love). I only have read about 2 pages so far, as I am also reading 2 other Elvis books !! I feel bad there is not more available for you to read -- I don't know if you have Amazon available in Italy, but that is where I buy almost all my Elvis books. I only have about 5 or 6 and those I purchased in last 6 months. I have always loved Elvis since very young, and my mother also loved Elvis, but I just had a couple CD's and no books. I still have my program from seeing Elvis in person in either 1970 or 71; I forget now. I did write date inside program, but now I need to find it after my move. I was always very interested in Elvis' personal life, so I am not sure why it took me so long to buy a book about him !! But I suppose being busy with family and working over 30 years. I wish I knew more about Elvis' cousin Billy Smith. There doesn't seem to be too much available on You Tube...I will keep searching. I made a note so I can read that interview on Google you mention. Jerry Shilling and Billy Smith do seem loyal and faithful to Elvis memory. I was not sure about Lamar Fike and Marty Lacker, so thank you for mentioning their names. I don't care much for Joe Esposito either, just from a few interviews. One interview he did seem okay. I knew he was close to Col. Parker. I do think he cared for Elvis, but just not sure about his feelings aside from that. I have only watched Sonny & Red West a couple times, but I get the feeling they genuinely cared for Elvis. I don't like that they wrote a book, however. I would not do that myself. I think they did it more out of hurt feelings and for the money. It is too bad that they didn't receive more compensation after being let go. I wonder if Elvis knew what his father set up with them? I think about things and wonder, but try to not be overly judgmental, as I know I wasn't there. Yes, please tell me your thoughts about Ginger when you feel like it. I have already read some of Elvis' feelings about Ginger in one of the spiritual books. It was interesting. I think Larry said they would not have married. I often feel Elvis was in love with love and always searching for that soul mate. Maybe his true soul mate in this life was his mother. A soul mate I don't believe means just a male/female love relationship. I haven't started reading Ginger's book until after new year. Thank you for well wishes after fall. I don't feel very good still, but I had a very bad injury when I was 35 that almost killed me and I find any falls or other injuries after that one are very hard for me. I am getting more used to my new home, but mostly thinking how I want to move and planning that already !! Still, it takes money so will be a little time before I can move. Have a beautiful week Anna Maria! I hope you are enjoying your little dog ! I love my dog -- he is under the bed right now :)

@6:43 Larry says, that pink Cadillac ( Elvis' mama's car ) was his car. He said he drove it everyday in the 60's. I never heard that before. I think maybe Elvis might of let him drive it, but it wasn't his car. I think Larry Geller is a nice person, but he's a little out there sometimes. I laugh every time I hear him tell these stories. I don't mean to be hateful about it. He just tickles me. 😄😄😄 Maybe that's why Elvis liked for him to be around and the religion stuff too. I don't know if Larry believes in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior or not, but I hope so. You are not supposed be worshipping other God's or Idols. That's why I think some of the other MM guys didn't like what he was telling Elvis. I've heard that Elvis was just curious about other religions, but he didn't forget where he came from. He didn't forget his original beliefs in who Jesus Christ was.

You’re right! Because he knew his weaknesses, his last concert he said he was scared to death, I think he was sick and he knew we couldn’t do it

From Wikipedia : "A Star Is Born was co-produced by Streisand and her then-partner Jon Peters for Barwood Films and Warner Brothers, with Peters as the main producer and Streisand as executive. Among actors considered for the male lead were Neil Diamond and Marlon Brando. Streisand and Peters wanted Elvis Presley for the role: they met with Elvis and discussed the film, and he was interested in taking the part, thinking it would revive his film career. Elvis' manager, Colonel Tom Parker, insisted Elvis have top billing and asked for a substantial sum of money for the role, even though he had not had an acting role since 1969, and people were unsure what kind of box office draw he would be. This effectively ended Elvis's involvement with the project. "
@mariontl67645 жыл бұрын
@@lindathompson4 Elvis was a good actor. He could have done it. He was always nervous before a concert and it went away once on stage, and he had not acted in some time, so was naturally nervous about the idea, but he would have been great. Please read the excerpt above from Wikipedia as to why Elvis did not end up doing the move A Star Is Born. I have read this same account of what happened in many places.
