President, Hillsdale College
Hillsdale College National Leadership Seminars are held in various locations across the country two times each year and address issues of politics, economics, and culture.
The first program was held in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1982 with about 200 business, education, and community leaders in attendance. Since then, more than 30,000 individuals have attended the programs.
The messages of these conferences have reached millions of Americans through Hillsdale’s national speech digest, Imprimis, as well as through coverage by media outlets including Newsweek, the Wall Street Journal, C-SPAN, and National Public Radio.
Hillsdale College is an independent institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary, scientific, [and] theological education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” As a nonsectarian Christian institution, Hillsdale College maintains “by precept and example” the immemorial teachings and practices of the Christian faith.
The College also considers itself a trustee of our Western philosophical and theological inheritance tracing to Athens and Jerusalem, a heritage finding its clearest expression in the American experiment of self-government under law.
By training the young in the liberal arts, Hillsdale College prepares students to become leaders worthy of that legacy. By encouraging the scholarship of its faculty, it contributes to the preservation of that legacy for future generations. By publicly defending that legacy, it enlists the aid of other friends of free civilization and thus secures the conditions of its own survival and independence.

I could listen to this man read the phone book aloud. He has a way of making everything interesting. I hope those that know him personally, realize how truly blessed they are. In my dreams, when the POTUS picks up the red phone, Dr. Arnn is on the other end of the line. Sir, if for some reason you ever decide you'd like to write another book and need an idea; might I suggest a book on President Lincoln? My brain is drooling just thinking about it.

Yeah. He really makes me appreciate what a great gift god has given the world in men like Churchill, Lincoln and the framers of the American constitution. The shame is that so many modern Americans are ignorant of it. Thank God for Larry Arnn and men like him who so beautifully articulate the rich and precious heritage we have been given. In my own life I try to instill in my children an appreciation for the liberties so grimly won for them by our forefathers...

The incident happened at a private event where Gov. Bill Lee and Dr. Larry Arnn spoke in front of an audience on the future of Tennessee’s education plan. In a video capturing the event, Dr. Arnn belittled Tennessee’s teachers, saying, among other things, “teachers are trained in the dumbest parts of the dumbest colleges in the country.”

Being a GREAT admirer of the Right Honorable Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill, for better or worse (being the Force of Nature and complex personality he was), I am naturally HORRIFIED at the Socialists and Communists' attempt to assassinate the Legacy & Character of this Great Savior of Western Civilization in recent years, through newspaper articles, books and films. There are a multitude of reasons why I love Trump, and I believe psychologically one of the reasons is down to the fact that Sir Winston and President Trump are very much alike when it comes to personality, although the Nobel Laureate in Literature, Sir Winston was a Word Smith of an exceptional caliber - something you couldn't accuse President Trump of being. BUT, as important as it was for Sir Winston to use his language skills to persuade his peers, using a language they understood and admired, President Trump is also true to the model of communication by modulating his language so that the most important recipients of his speeches, the American Worker, understands, admires and acts, one could argue they both mastered/master the communication model equally well. And in this toxic environment of degrading the GREAT National Leaders in great national crisis like fmr. Prime Minister Winston Churchill and President Trump, it is a soothing joy listening to an eminent scholar like President Larry P. Arnn! Thank you, Hillsdale College, for sharing this!

In 1990 we moved to IL after living in Germany and west cost for 10 yrs. my husband had been in the city several weeks before us. I did not see any black people and asked my husband where they were. He said there were non. We are a biracial family and the time there was worse than being in Al during the civil right yrs.
