Larry, Paul and Robin's first day at WGN

I spent 2006-2018 suffering from a long-illness. I had to stay with my mom at her house in rural northern Illinois & we got Chicago local channels. I watched this show every morning & now that I’m well, I watch these clips on my phone in Los Angeles, where I’m finally recording music. You guys brightened many mornings then, and I start my day with these segments now. Thanks, Robin, Pat, Larry, Paul & Skip.

I'm 35, I remember Larry, Robin, and Paul's first day or first few days on WGN. WGN is almost always on at my parents' house and I keep it on at work and at my home now. I was in 2nd/3rd grade around 1995/1996 and had a crush on Robin because she was (and still is) an attractive lady and of course she was in the helicopter and I love aviation. I always watched at least a few minutes of WGN every morning before heading off to school. Thanks for keeping the laughs and great reporting going all these years later.

Crazy how I have been watching WGN News since I was in elementary. lol My teacher made us watch the news for homework and report it back to class and share it with my classmates at the time. I've been watching the news ever since... CTFU. My favorite news reporters.

@1:57 so Robin Baumgarten was already doing traffic reports from Skycam 9 before Paul Konrad came?, hence Paul Huttner (now chief meteorologist at Minnesota Public Radio News) at 1:43 (his replacement Paul Konrad from WFTS 28 joined the station as morning news weatherman in August 1996).
