My favorite lake ever!! It’s just a beautiful clean lake. The fishing is not as good as it was 10 years ago but the views make up for it!!

As a tackle historian, I can tell you that the Hoppe's only rediscovered an old spinner as far as blade size goes. In the late 1800's and very early 1900's, Enterprise Manufacturing Co. (Pflueger) made some Colorado blades even bigger than #10, they would about like a #12 or #13 blade now, they also made some big double-bladed ones, but those were in-line and not intertwined like the modern double blades. Those large blades fell out of production around 1920'ish. The real innovation has been intertwining the blade clevises, so the blades overlap, AND using the big blades, THAT was never done back the early tackle period to my knowledge, ever.
