I love the parting sentiment: "I would rather [not know everything about God] and [be a servant] than to know everything about God and not lift a finger." It's about saving lives through service. There is no higher calling or honor, IMHO. God saves the souls.

Awesome. Remember, if don't feel like getting to a meeting, that means you had better get to one!!!!

Not to me though. I use to go to meetings for two reasons and I'm going there now, sadly,, for only one, as the other reason doesn't exsist no more. I go to meetings to adhere to the primary purpose of helping others now. Unfortunately, I am not hearing this real message of recovery contained within the big book. I am hearing people who think that they're real alcoholics saying, I had to get here to share about my divorce AGAIN or I could drink on it. Well, if this or anything else outside of yourself could make you drink then you're not one of us. READ THE BOOK AND STOP SPEWING SHIT OVER MEETINGS . People are dying in meetings and hearing about the divorce, job or partner and that's no help for them. They're there as suicides looking good.

AA has changed the last 20 years. These high bottom educated newcomers in SF Bay Area think they can change the big book and get away not saying GOD or not using Hazleton devotions! God could and would if he were sought - you must find Him now (not it or them!!). AA changes lives and families done the right way since 1935! I’m sober 35 years because I wasn’t coddled. Life saving - God fearing - grateful Sobriety 🙏🙏 one day at a time
