I admire this guy, incredibly smart, quick on his feet when it comes to responding to any criticism. What I admire the most is this insane switch of personality and gesture, one moment the guy is vulgar and hilarious, the next completely articulate and informative. Say what you want about the music he makes with others, and the "shock value" so to speak, but you can't deny this guys wit and intelligence.

This seems like an uncomfortable first meeting with a therapist. He doesn’t wanna be stone cold and quiet because it’ll only make it last longer so he acts tough and indifferent to redirect genuine questions meant to learn something about him. Like when he says he doesn’t care about meeting his dad either way, but you can see in his eyes he’s holding back. Or I could be completely wrong and he’s just all over the place. Whatever floats his boat, just my interpretation of his self-presentation.

I think I might consider Tyler absurdist though. A lot of ppl think absurd means ridiculous, but it's not. Absurd is really just the search for meaning in a meaningless existence, often causing non sequitur situations/discussions, misunderstandings, and strange interactions. I think in many ways Tyler fits this bill.

It can be a shame that Tyler isn't as articulate in interviews as he is in his music. I feel like he sometimes doesn't do himself or his accomplishments credit because he doesn't find the words. He's so vague in his explanation of what it actually is he does. Massive respect to him for being completely himself though. He's never anything but himself

its an issue that many musically/artistically inclined people seem to come across including myself. its a way you feel inside and the only way you can fully express that feeling to the maximum is by making art, whether that medium be paintings or sonics its alot easier to get the point across than talking

This is why Odd Future was so influential back in the day. Critics pretty much hated them, but they were talented. Earl and Tyler especially. No matter what Tyler did as the leader of the group, he pushed them to stardom by just doing whatever they wanted.

Larry was such a great podcaster. I think what made him special is he mostly interviewed celebrities' that he may not even be interested in or know anything about, so the conversations always seemed natural and casual.
