It's nice to see someone that can go out with a single spinning combo and a bait caster combo. I'm still new to baitcasters, weights and actions and all that confusing s**t. Shows that we really don't NEED to walk out there with 8 different combos to have a good time, and catch fish.

Very cool to see John on the channel, and great to see you both got on 'em despite a few frustrations along the way. 💪🎣 If it wasn't a guide, I'd reckon you had some frayed line that caused those breaks; in theory, if the line's at full-strength then you'll either break off at the knot or bend the hook out every single time given they're your "weakest links" (if the hook's stronger than the line, as is often the case with bass fishing, then it should break at the knot every time).

Last of March 1993 18" of snow I central Alabama 😂 so yes Alabama weather be crazy some years and we've had a small snow/ice storm in April in the past. I'd would definitely run a qtip in each eyelet of that rod and if it isn't that I change line brands and line 😂
