Aurora is becoming more and more poetic! Her lyrics seem to be left to the listener for interpretation. I was really impressed on how both of their voices sounded together! This song was meant to be sung this way!

Here's what I know: Their collaboration for the studio version was done remotely. Aurora released her studio album in January 2022. She and Pomme only met in person for the first time in February 2022. Pomme said that her concluding French verse was her interpretive response to Aurora's performance of the English song.

“Everything Matters” (feat. Pomme) I don’t normally do features. I knew a bit about [Pomme] because she’s extremely sweet and very talented. I wanted to include some Frenchness on the opening song as a gift to the castle that gave me a lot of the inspiration to finish this album. I asked her if she could write the ending of my song in French, and she wrote a beautiful story about the flowers we picked in all of your favorite places. It is an ode to Rosendaël. AURORA

Yes and in the livestream they made together, Pomme explains that in fact she contacted first Aurora a few years ago when she (Pomme) had the intent to build an album wirh different women. But finally this project was cancelled. And then as you said it is Aurora who contacted her back a few years after. Pomme is apparently a fan of Aurora and know most of her songs. She made a cover of The Seed.

This track, with Pomme, (only 2 months younger than AURORA) is just fenomenal. Perfect duet. And I don't understand French, but it just fits. Yes, I searched to see what Pomme was singing about. And the fact that AURORA normally doesn't feature someone, makes this even better. The softness of the track is...yeah, chills.. You know it.. :D I guess it's not about the views, it's about the story and the history. Eminem is known by more people since he started around the early 90's. AURORA wasn't even born yet. I love most of Eminems tracks, since I listen to his lyrics, and I can relate to his story about life and the struggles it will give you, although I didn't experience most of those myself. I love most of AURORA's songs, since I listen to her lyrics, and I can relate to her story about everything nature/positivity, because I see her changing a lot of peoples perspectives on the world. For me, music is about the chills, if it gives me the chills, the artist did a good job for me. So Eminem or AURORA, don't mind, they are both great artists, and AURORA has "just started", so we'll see what she'll give the world.

I love this duet, their voices complement each other so well and the level of artistry from each of these 2 ladies is literally insane. Also they seem to have connected very well (see their joint livestream, so funny and profound at the same time). Apparently they will collab again soon. In this livestram kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4C0iHmLoL2lg5I, Aurora and Pomme explain they have the same approach to lyrics, writing poetic lyrics which leaves room for personal interpretation and reinterpretation. This is evident in this song (Aurora wrote the english lyrics and Pomme the french one). More information on Pomme: she is a multi talented artist. She is a singer with a fabulous unique voice, she plays many instruments ( guitar, autoharp, piano, cello, vocoder, banjo, …). She writes and composes most of her stuff. She received in France the best newcomer album award in 2020 and the best female artist award in 2021. She is seen by many as the next big star in 🇫🇷 . She has folk vibes a la Joan Baez in se of her songs. I think maybe her hands stopped doing its thing because singing in another language requires a lot of concentration and focus. It shows that she's not forcing her hand movements, they just come naturally, and that's pretty interesting
@Tarkus_2 жыл бұрын
That's an excellent observation, and makes perfect sense. Also, that part she likely isn't really interpreting the lyrics as she's singing them, so she doesn't have the same emotional connection to what she's singing that she usually does.
@MrCamilla2 жыл бұрын
@@Tarkus_ That makes perfect sense as well. Her hands movements might be more an extention of her feelings and not so much of her mind. If that's the case then maybe we'll see more hand movements during the French part later on as she might be even more comfortable and close with it

Really enjoyed your reaction! Fitting that April is International Poetry Month! Interesting note: the piano playing behind those final verses is AURORA herself (track layered in from the original studio version). Pomme has quite a following in France (a great singer/songwriter in her own right, same age as AURORA, and plays some interesting instruments: guitar autoharp/zither cello omnichord glockenspiel double bass). The two of them together achieve such vocal fusion! I hope they collab in the future.
@olafwiese67282 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, Pomme wrote and sang the French part of the song. I also met Pomme through her collaboration with AUROR. I've now heard many of her songs and I'm hooked. However, this is time consuming for me. I can not speak French. I had Latin at school. I listen to the song and then look for the lyrics and have them translated or look for a ready-made translation. I don't trust Google translator. It is sometimes mistranslated. And even I can see that. Then I hear the song at least once more - usually even more often. But it's worth it. Pomme is a great storyteller and not unlike AURORA. However, in many cases the music is like the beautiful old French chansons. I especially like "Pauline". Pomme was born on August 2nd, 1996 in Lyon, France. She is a singer, musician and web video producer. She received a very religious upbringing. She began writing and composing songs at the age of six. She learned the cello at the age of eight and by the age of 16 was already performing in bars and pubs in Lyon. She has acquired many musical skills by being self-taught. She has released 2 albums (2017 and 2018). The second won an award. Themes such as nature, love, death and other social issues with a romantic connection play an important role in Pomme's songs and albums. In her love songs, she repeatedly refers to her homosexuality. - Pomme "Les Oiseaux" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqGxpYB7Yspjjrs - Pomme plays an autoharp in a church - On Brûlera - kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4SkpHZ_rtVsZrs - It's about lesbian love!?!? - Pauline - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHXRZaecZZJ2pqs - Pomme - Une minute - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJXShnt7rLOnh6s - Pomme plays a guitar and choir - Pomme "Göttingen" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpnVc3yEgNqHe5Y - Pomme with an orchestra Maybe you'll take a look at her too. We should see a little more of Pomme. That was very interesting and promising. I just found important two information about AURORA from another commenter: 1. -- In a recent interview she said "well, the last song I wrote is meant for my 7th album.” - AURORA's latest album, the fourth, was released on January 21, 2022. She's already in the planning for the 7th.!!! 2. -- AURORA was a teen when she answered the question "are some of your songs related (on different albums)?" - it will all make sense when I have finished. -- AURORA has a plan and we don't know the destination yet. But it is important to know that everything belongs together - everything matters. Have a nice day and Greetings from Germany

Great reaction as always 😊 This is one of my favourites, but then I have a lot of favourites 😅😍 In the audio version Pomme “only” sings the french part. Aurora actually finished her album for about a year ago, and they only met this year. Though I love this performance, I actually think the original version is better😍 In an interview shortly after the release, Aurora stated: "It's a very strange story [...] a story I would like for people out there to figure out themselves. I contacted a French artist, Pomme, to write the ending for me. And it is beautiful. Sensual. And real. I do often feel like this world is trying to make me focus on all these great miracles. And somehow I feel like it makes me miss out on the small ones. And that is sad. Because the small miracles happen all the time. Sometimes several times a day. And I want to see all of them. Because everything matters." Interviewed by Bedroomdisco, Aurora said: "I wrote it a long time ago, quite early in the process and I already knew with that song that it was a part of the vibration that I wanted the album to be. To me it's about - which is an important keyword for me, because it can be about something different for everyone -, but it's about two things. If you listen very carefully, it's a beautiful and a sad story. There's something ominous about it too. But also something extremely beautiful. It's about these people, the you and them me in the song, and they are going thought something which forces them to think about life differently and they look at each other and they look around themselves and they just grasp that time is slipping out of their fingers too quickly. I look at everything and am imagining in the and of the song they drive this car out to a sunset and they watch one very last sunset together and... there's a fear that you miss out on all the beautiful things. There is so much beauty in this world, the small things as well."[3] Aurora later explained to Apple Music: "I don't normally do features. I knew a bit about [Pomme] because she's extremely sweet and very talented. I wanted to include some Frenchness on the opening song as a gift to the french castle in Norway that gave me a lot of the inspiration to finish this album. I asked her if she could write the ending of my song in French, and she wrote a beautiful story about the flowers we picked in all of your favourite places. It is an ode to Baroniet (Baroness) Rosendal." Could you please react to the sister of “Exist for love”, “Potion for love”🙏😍😍 It’s an audio version. Not gonna lie, I’ve come out of interest of your Eminem videos. It’s nice to see your generation realizing the talent that these early rappers possessed. Unfortunately you’re being restricted with what you’ve heard from Eminem. Most of his talent shows off in his “bad songs” and you should try to look more into that. Obviously it may be too much starting off with “Kill you” so I’ve compiled a list of a few songs to sort of ease you into it in order of what’s best to start with. #1, ‘97 Bonnie, and Clyde. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gF7HdXWfaKytfZI #2, As the world turns. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmi0qpKQbsl5frc #3, The way I am. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2moZHeeYsyZnq8 #4, My Darling. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3mZZXx5q8efjrs #5, Role model. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioewfGWdhs6aaqM I have included all official music videos available for the songs although with his music it was only a select few that actually received an official music video, and most of them are censored badly. I’d always suggest that you try a lyrics video and let him paint the picture in your mind with his words (#1, and #2 just do not need videos to go along with.) anyway thank you for taking the time to read this and I really hope to see at least one of these songs in an upcoming video. ❤️

First thought: Definitely inspired by Björk, and as you mentioned Billy. Definitely gonna check her out! my search was already going on, looking for new music. And you delivered! Also thank you for your channel. I’m enjoying all your Em content! Fabian

Hey Larry, could you react to the "ross capicchioni" music video by Joyner Lucas? and maybe take a look at the original story after the music video to know the backstory. this is the link to Joyner's video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIDCp2WpjdJgnJY and this is the link to Ross telling his story in his own words: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m53Jgp5tpJyYsM0. I at least highly recommend watching it. It is a very powerful song that shows 2 different perspectives very clearly, just like his song "I'm not racist"

Interesting that Aurora use a Shure SM7 mic to record this, usually, the SM7 is used to record broadcasting voice

This was already perhaps my favorite track on the new album, but this live duet takes it to another level. I love it! Have you watched / reacted to her COP26 show yet? Even by Aurora standards, it's pretty special. Especially the newer, more playful Aurora. It looks and sounds great!

A little bit late to the party, but you have been wondering about the lyrics so here's what Aurora had to say to the song: The whole album is about Greek mythology and every song is heavily inspired by one God or myth. Everything matters is inspired by atlas, the giant who held the earth up and carried it in his hands. For atlas, every single tree, stone or living being mattered as it added to the weight he had to carry. The song is about the fast pace of life, how it sometimes just rushes past you and you forget to enjoy the little things like chirping birds or just how the air feels like on a cold morning. This song is a Hommage to every little thing that can easily rush past you, so you forget to pay attention to it. But to aurora, everything matters.

Marvellous reaction and a valid analysis! (Indeed, now that you mention it, your audio is better with the new mic.) Aurora is a miracle, IMHO.

Hey i would really love to see you react to another Immortal Technique song, even tho i understand dance with the devil was a shock to listen to. I would recommend You never know by him a beautiful sad song by him with a crazy story plot twist again, but in this song there is no violence involved. It is one of the only songs to ever get me to shed some tears and i feel like it is criminally underrated. Here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKeaqGVmZdelmdU

Chris, I have played this album dozens of times and it gets better every time. Also, I saw her concert on the 28th March, (venue was not the best but) what an experience! I'm still on cloud 9. To me (to me, to me to me) the thread of this album is love, in it's many effects. This song is very much about the altered mental state of a new love.

I'm a truck driver, I'm heading from Virginia to Texas and I was just listening to Theo von and I had this hankering for some Larryshair and figured I would check out your reaction to lose yourself by Eminem. And here you are in my notifications. It was destiny my friend. By the way is it Larry Shair or Larry's hair? 😆 Honestly I'm just wondering
@larryshair2 жыл бұрын
Dakota got it right! My friend's dad is Larry and we would mess each other's hair up, so I figured that when a person addressed me by name, they would have to virtually run their fingers through his hair on the keyboard : ) . I think I'm up a few on him now...

@@larryshair Hey buddy if you like Aurora, I would absolutely love to see you do a reaction to Mazzy Star. She is so deep with the voice of an angel, lol really though. I'm sure you would at least recognize some of their songs. What do you say? Maybe add one to your bucket list. "look on down from the bridge" is pretty amazing. Have a great day my friend. 👌🏼💯 BTW safe to say Larry's hair has been owned by now 🤣

I totally agree with turning Eminem fans onto Aurora. I've been an Eminem fan since his original albums back in the '90s, but only discovered Aurora this year. I was actually recently talking with a buddy of mine about how the two artist are so similar (to me) in that they both have the ability to reach into parts of me I didn't know existed, and elicit emotions I didn't know I had, nor needed bringing out (more song dependent regarding Eminem, of course). Two totally polarizing artists from one perspective, but for me they somehow overlap greatly in their authenticity, ability to capture raw emotions etc.

Larry please start a series of listening to Taylor Swift. There is so much more to her lyrics than the average person knows! I’m sure you’ll have a great time breaking those lyrics down. I think a great place to begin would be her reputation album or folklore. although I know you would definitely love her album evermore!
