Hi Chris, you’re willingness to learn new things is aspiring to say the least. My mom had twins at 18 and was a single addicted with no hope. She dragged us through all of it from sleeping under the stars because we never had a house or food for that matter. One of the two things that helped get me through it all was Tupac. His lyrics just always said what I needed to hear. Fast forward to today and my mom is now my best friend in the world! One year I gave her a cd with “dear momma” and we still love to sit and shed tears of hurt and love. Never let the situation you’re in define you and use it for an excuse.

I HAD TO COMMENT AGAIN! YES I'M A HUGEST Eminem FAN BUT I'M SO GLAD THAT YOU ARE LEARNING ABOUT TUPAC. HE WAS SO POETIC IN EVERYTHING THAT HE DID AND HE ALWAYS KEPT IT SO REAL TOO REAL FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE. BUT HE HAS THAT GOOD MAN IN HIM THAT YOU APPRECIATE SO MUCH.. I love watching you experience all this we're about the same age but I did listen to this music growing up now as a Christian I still listen to it because it does something for my soul. Tupac was amazing and I just heard you say you were so pissed that he was assassinated I 100% agree! It's sickens me, and broke my heart when it happened. I will be here for your journey learning more about both of these wonderful men who came from nothing and made their life everything. Rest in peace Tupac Shakur

This song came out in my teenage years and in a home without a father, I needed to hear this from a man. I was a heavy reader and writer in school when it wasn't seen as being cool but how great I felt buying "The Rose That Grew from Concrete", it validated my love for words and stories. You are 100% correct that women need to be proud of themselves and never allow a man to treat you with nothing but the absolute respect that you deserve.

I’m from the wrong region of the world to know the life that Tupac was singing about. But the fact that his music was such a huge part of my teens, especially because of his empowering message, & ESPECIALLY because he was stolen from us at such a young age... I like to think that his music was given to us when we needed it, & it’ll cycle back around when we need it again. Because music isn’t linear, & then it goes away. It comes in cycles, like the circle of happiness & grief. Sometimes, the older songs cycle back around, because we need to be reminded of his message.

I remember, it was Atari game console, I had one too. My mother when cabbage patch kids 1st came out and people were fighting over them, stores used raffle tickets to even put your hands on one. My mother spent the grocery store money just so my sister and I could have one. She had to ask my auntie to borrow the money she spent getting those dolls.

I am sooo glad you got to this one. Instant smile on my face when I saw the notification. 💙 Great video. Long comment ahead lol. This man taught me so much through his music. I was devastated when he was taken from this world. 😭 I think had he lived, he would have been a force that no one could stop. Some think that higher powers believed that too and that's why he was killed. But guess we'll never truly know. Sigh.. gone way too soon. Also, fun fact, Eminem was a co executive producer on the album titled Resurrection (soundtrack for the movie about Pac). He also produced a posthumous album too. Pacs mom provided Em a bunch of Pacs acapella stuff that hadn't been released and Em pieced it all together to create an album. 😊
