For the combo at 1:11, when I input ff42 after the 2nd df1 the opponent gets out of range and I cant complete the combo, is there anything wrong with my execution or did a patch kill this combo perhaps?

It is best to try to finish the combos with DE 2, fw 4, you maximize the combo damage. Regarding the other endings, I would only use SE 3+4 to break the ground, SE 1 does more damage, a little but more technically. nice guide

3+4 gives u oki, and if you mash f3 into den you’ll be plus 8, meaning you can frame trap with den2 for another ch combo if they mash and you still have den 3 if they try to tech roll. If they mash there after the roll you get a heat engaged for plus 17, heat dasher into d1+2 if you’re already in heat, or you’ll be +5 giving you the option to do your regular mix plus u get sen 3 or 3+4 again which will be uninterruptible. If they get hit you get the same oki, if they block you force crouching on them and if they do a while rising move you get 111 or 12 into more mix up. Sen 3+4 is dope so I hope I’ve given you lots of reason to use it in a combo

@@danlima2068 at low levels. At high levels the enemy can recover quickly after receiving SEN 3+4, if you use d1+2 (which is a slow movement) or if the enemy guesses DEN 3+4 they can launch you

@@essential67 yeap, coz is new move set. You need to get used to the new. Knowing that...DEN 2 UF4 does more damage, I still end my combos with SEN 1, like in Tekken 7

Every combo in this game is actually pretty easy, if you want to make an optimal route guide just do 1 route of every single launcher + low parry that will do max dmg. OPTIMAL MEANS MAX DMG. If a beginner wants to learn Lars his combos are so easy that he will learn them in no time.

1:37 You can add a b3 after den 1 for more damage but the ender need a ssl and it's very inconsistent. Works best on Victor and give best damage F1+2 df3 den2 dash df1 ff42 den1 b3f sen1+2 ssr den2 uf 4 The inconsistent part is the ender and b3f sen1+2 which will both whiff if you didn't dash deep enough

@@TK_TheFURY I got the wrong sidestep down lel it's ssr But so far this is the best combo i can find it does 82 from f1+2. Maybe you can somehow find a new highest damage with those dash df1 of yours lol

i think its possible on slightly shorter characters but its really REALLY inconsistent Im not even quite sure why it landed a few times, i think its hitting the den2 late but i havent been able to recreate it on purpose

@@thememelords9491 Yep it can even hit on Xiaoyu but like i said really inconsistent. From my testing it was quite consistent on Victor and maybe Jack but haven't tested Jack yet.

It's very inconsistent, I think he were right not to recommend it. many Lars combos don't work the same on pandas, for example.

Could be a problem with your controller. If your controller is fine, then it must be a misinput. Practice might be required.

Great guide not new to tekken played alot of tekken 6 and 5 but i have a question when doing certain moves more specifically the quarter circle motion moves cause when i want to do them in a combo say paul’s i want his quater circle forward 1 i can do it once but to get i back to back its harder i play on stick as well tried it with pad still couldn’t really do it either, to have slightly delay it just do the input faster.

Some inputs you cant buffer I.e you cant input them during the animation of another movement; Paul's qcf1 is one of those you have to input it very quickly at the right timing after the previous move ends

​@@NotwedsquidI think the general rule of thumb is that if the qcf of qcb move is to enter a stance to unlock a move then it cant be buffered so Bryan's qcf 3,4 is technically a while rising move he does out of his snake dash so it cant be buffered. I'm sure theres exceptions though cause theres always exceptions in tekken

​@@Notwedsquidwhether or not you can delay that depends on how much leniency there is in the pickup. Paul qcf 1 loops are notoriously very tight but I imagine some other pickups that need moves that cant be buffered are more lenient

He has his own version with his dynamic entry stance which he can cancel and restart very quickly to apply crazy pressure. Look up "Dynamic entry AKA Lars wavedash tutorial" by Poryty. It's for Tekken 7 and the technique of how to do it has slightly changed for T8 but it can still be done just as fast
