Dr. H.A. (Buz) Jinnah, Professor of Neurology and Human Genetics at Emory University, presented the topic, "Laryngeal Dystonia: Relationship to Other Neurological Disorders" at the Los Angeles Dysphonia Support Group Virtual Meeting on August 15, 2024.
He is widely known for his research in movement disorders and particularly dystonia and neurogenetics. His laboratory focuses on developing a better understanding of these disorders via genetics and biochemistry, cell and animal models and clinical studies with patients. He has held multiple large NIH grants and has published more than 200 articles.
Dr. Johns, Director of The Voice Clinic at USC introduced Dr. Jinnah, and also answered questions.
