Grew up in Las Pinas and even spent two years at St. Joseph's Academy (may park pala across???? haha), kaya halos araw araw ang access sa Bamboo Organ that I didn't appreciate back then. I saw the rise of the Nature Church which was a project by Fr. Pierino, the former Italian parish priest who replaced Frs. Colin and Steve. I know because we lived in that very village (moonwalk) where my mom served the Catholic church as a volunteer. . He also founded the parish school, was it still there when you came? And I also saw the development of the city and the malls - SM Southmall, Uniwide (wala na ngayon). The oldest department store and cinemas there is Manuela, wala na yata ang cinema. Going into that path, you'll get to the park where many students used to go to practice for cheering competitions. Di ko na inabutan ang EVIA, but we're relocating back in a couple of months, so makakapunta din kami don, malamang. Sayang, di mo nafeature ang traffic sa Alabang-Zapote road, iconic yun, hahaha! It just keeps getting worse as years go by. Sanayan na lang talaga. And yes, kaya friendship routes from Alabang through Pilar Village is the way to go -- tagos until Dasmarinas Cavite yan, actually, and serves as routes for public utility vans going to Bacoor, Imus and Dasmarinas. Cecil's is one of the most iconic restaurants in Las Pinas. Nasa kanto ng BF Resort, right across Casimiro Village. It's a humble, Filipino restaurant that serve delicious Filipino dishes at very affordable prices. I remember that Botanical garden! I've never been there, but I just might take the kids. I want to take the kids back to st joseph's...maganda ang simbang gabi doon, pinoy na pinoy -- complete with tsokolate and bibingka stalls. And adorned with traditional banderitas. I would love for my kids to experience that part of our culture that's well-preserved in that area, still. They used to bring in foreign boys choirs aside from featuring our very own Las Pinas Boys Choir which my brother was once one of the soloists for. Anyway, thanks for this nice touch of nostalgia for Las Pineros like me, classmate. It's good to know it's history.. :)

Hehe. Thanks, cuz for the additional info. :) Re Cecille's, I asked my friend from BF and she said that she's not sure if it's still open.
