@@lletraferit It is because the accent and the Spanish she is speaking is the Filipino Español dialect/ variety... So you might not even recognize it or notice that you are actually hearing the Filipino Spanish already because few speak it nowadays here in our country and not all have the chance to hear it or study about it. Some might think it's a unfamiliar or unknown Spanish accent, but it's actually The Filipino Spanish dialect which is more understandable, more correct in grammar and more closer to the Standard Spanish says most Spaniards and linguists. Sad to say it is dying and neglected, but there is a big rebirth of Hispanic Filipino Culture and the Spanish Filipino language itself here in the Philippines. But she is indeed natural native speaker actually there is a good population and families of Filipino Spanish speakers still speaking the Filipino Spanish variety of The Standard Castillano Español... One of that is her and the rest of other Filipino Alta Sociedad and if you also know the Zobel de Ayala Clan of The Philippines. They are just the perfect example of the few Filipino people who still speak the Filipino Español dialect in their day to day life. Former President Gloria is also a native speaker and she speak it everyday too. Her father is a Spanish speaker also. They are of Filipino Hispanic descent so they speak it up to this day. She is also the reason why Spanish is surviving and flourishing again. You can also find many pages and groups dedicated to us Filipino Spanish speaking population. 👌

As a Filipino, learning Spanish has taught me that Latinos, Spaniards and Filipinos have a lot in common, from language to culture, and our histories our intertwined. I discovered that Filipinos belong to two communities, the Asian and the Hispanic community. We Filipinos can proudly say that we are both Asian and Hispanic. While we are naturally Asians, we are also inheritly Hispanic, the Hispanic culture is deeply rooted in the Filipino identity.

@protectorateXHere we go again with the "I'm not Filipino, but I know the Philippines more than you do." First of all, it's evident that you're unaware of what the fundamental meaning of the word "Hispanic". If you correlate the word "Hispanic" to just people speaking Spanish or maybe looking like a Spaniard or Latino, then you need to go back to school. Second of all, how about Latin and Central America? Not to mention Americans aren't even practicing the aboriginal culture there. They weren't originally "Hispanic". Aren't you gonna "educate" them and tell them "it's retarded you want to be related to a colonial master than enslaved your people just so you can feel special about being a fake Hispanic LOL". See, your logic here is shallower than your mom's sanity. Lastly, compare Indonesia and Malaysia to the Philippines culturally. Majority of Filipinos have Spanish last names (even first names in the past). Our language is comprised of Spanish rooted words. There is even a Spanish creole "Chavacano" in Filipinas which is the oldest Spanish creole in the world (has two variants). There are a ton of places in the Philippines that have Spanish names ( The "Philippines" in fact was named after King Philip II of Spain". Do Malaysians and Indonesians eat food like lechon, arroz caldo, arroz a la valenciana, arroz a la cubana, morisquetta tostada, spanish omelette, spanish bread, afritada, pancit guisado, churros, empanada, igado, leche flan, silvanas, champurrado, chicharron, menudo, filipino churros, tocino, etc? Are Malaysians and Indonesians predominantly Catholic? Do Malaysians and Indonesians celebrate quincenera (debut), dia delos muertos (undas), etc? Do Malaysians and Indonesians do stuff like siesta? Don't educate me, you're not even a Filipino. Do you spend your daily life in Filipinas? What a joke! Your logic itself makes no sense! You gave me a good laugh today, you chowder head.
