i can remember when the comets was dominating the league who to me is still the best wnba player of all time, cooper. but it’s great to see how the wnba continues to grow with each year. still would have liked to see chicago and vegas in the finals...

@@ak-xp4hp keep in mind that coop spent her first 10 years oversees because the wnba had not been around until 97. so imagine a 22 year old coop verse a 32 year old that still made it look easy. played 6 years in the wnba won 4 titles 4 finals mvp’s 3 time scoring titles. lets just say if she had 20 years in the wnba she might have 10 championships..

@@markelscott100 the one thing that you said that all of them have is a full wnba career. coop spent her prime oversees. she also played with the most dominate female ball player of all time, cheryl miller and won 2 ncaa titles. my opinion don’t matter the era because coop only had 6 season and she dominated going 4 for 4 in her latter years like mj doing two set of 3.. appreciate you, but coop set the statuesque to winning 6 years 4 championships 4 finals mvps 3 scoring titles..she had no time to waste didn’t have the time like those you named, she had right now and she did, translation, goat! oh, and she quit ballin in college and the team had to get her back because she got a job taking care of her family. she real deal.. peace!

Kelsey Plum shot bad today. Hambry’s energy was needed. Bowner didn’t shoot well either. AT kinda carried Sun. The unsung heroes: Bri Jones and Jackie Young. Aja and Gray are amazing. Aces got a lil sloppy at the end. Aces up 1-0. See ya for game 2.

A'ja carried the Aces until Chelsea caught fire. I would be remiss if I did not mention those two consecutive monstrous offensive boards in the middle of the fourth quarter that A'ja pulled down after she had blocked a shot. The sequence reminded me of Moses Malone (rebounding fool of yesteryear in the NBA). But kudos to Connecticut who held the Aces down 30 points below it's team average. I am non-partisan; I am just looking for a five game series.

A win is a win, but I gotta admit, we could've easily gave this game away to the Suns at the end. Aces still cannot take care of the ball consistently, that is going to be the reason they give away this chip.

We gave them every chance to take it and they didn't. The Sun had a lot going for them and still couldn't win. When the Aces play to the level we know they can, they're unbeatable.

@@CapLives if bonner or Williams could hit a bucket the sun's would have won. There were like 2 back to back shot clock possessions where Courtney Williams didn't shoot and caused a turnover. If those 2 can make a basket and if coach adjusts the zone offense, then they have a chance. But Vegas is the more all around talented team.

So PROUD of Jackie Young for her assertiveness. Glad She remembers who she is. Ms. Gray has REALLY put the work in; she gets to her spots at WILL very similar to Paul Pierce. The MVP just wants the W; she is unselfish. The Aces are well coached despite sloppy ending. Their big three rocks!

A lot of people forget the Suns are #1 in the wnba on defense and OREB. The only thing holding them back is the consistency on offense. If they can get that together and keep up the defensive play making they will win. But you can’t win if you can’t score lol Aces are unstoppable when clicking on all cylinders. Grey is just different. If this series comes down to defense I’m going with the suns even with game 1 lose.

Even hurt, Dearica Hamby is a huge difference maker. Commentators and pre game analysts don’t even mention how much better the Aces are when she’s healthy and playing. She’s a 2 time all-star and 4th leading rebounder in the W. SMH.

Ugly win. The Sun played their style of ball, Kelsey Plum had a bad game, the assists weren't up to par and the the Aces still won. Hamby played meaningful minutes. I don't expect this series to stay this ugly. Coach Hammon will make the necessary adjustments to get her team playing to their level.

Connecticut kept the tempo in the 60s ! That style favors them. Aces always play hard, but not always smart. Game 2 will have adjustments ? Offensively, Kelsy Plum and Dewanna Bonner were off. But one thing for sure, the Aces will not be bullied or out toughed. Aja is gonna hustle and bang inside, make the refs. call something. You won't see Aja running from Jonquel or contact ! And you won't see Aja playing on the perimeter, jacking up 3s like Candace Parker did.

Dearica Hamby won this game. We took the lead back when she came in. She's an All Star for a reason. She did EVERYTHING the starting 5 wasn't doing. We have 3 of the top 10 defensive players in the league when she's on the floor and she makes the smart play every time instead of looking to score. Clearly she's still hurt with the ridiculous minutes she's getting but the fact that A'ja is more effective at the 4 than the 5 has always played into the the known "6th woman of the year" coming off the bench. With Vegas benchas thin as it is, and D an All Star starter before her injury says she's still hurt. As a day one Aces fan I completely trust Becky Hammond's coaching because I was there for us falling short purely on Bill Lambeir's inability to properly coach this women. This is the greatest starting 5 in WNBA history prior to Hamby injury and Becky is playing chess amongst checker players... and she literally has 5 Queens on the board when healthy and these women have played way more minutes than any other starting 5 by far. Salute to Khia Stokes who has more than stepped up in place of D though. We didn't miss Liz at all. Kelsey and Jackie are made women and won't have keep having bad games. Otherwise, it would have been a blowout from start. Becky leaving Hamby in longer than 2 minutes got the win and that's the beauty of this team... they literally have an answer for everything with 5 players.
