Haven't seen beans served with chips and salsa for 35 years. Max's Mexican used to serve bean dip, basically refried beans with green chilis and baked with a golden brown cheese on top for a small upcharge. I've been surprised it hasn't been done more to supplement the 'free' chips and salsa. I've seen better pot stickers at TGIFridays than what Ping Pang Pong served. I'll definitely try Amalfi but it's kind of disappointing that a celebrity chef restaurant can't cook calamari/squid correctly! Another great video B & L!

I 'm glad you went to Amalfi. The octopus and squid are chewy because it was either not cooked enough or cooked too much. It looks a little undercooked. The other food including the steak looks amazing although I can't get myself to pay that much for fish. I did at Milos Estiatorio and ended up getting a few ounces for over $60. Bobby Flay uses a lot of seasonings, and I tend to like my steak with just salt and pepper, no rub of any kind. I don't think I've ever been to a Mexican restaurant I didn't like except for a chain place. This was a great review of the restaurants.

Another great video!!! We will be in Vegas next week and we always go to juans flaming fajitas and will have to try casa don juan too!! There's a place in gardena called burnt tortilla and its been around a long time and its a good mom and pop place. Love watching your videos. Chris was so bummed that Bill wouldn't get a margarita at 10am, but then we heard him say he was driving, so now we understand :) Chris paused the video to tell me how much he appreciates Lisa's pronunciation of all the dishes. My response: "F off." Lol! I've been trying to learn Spanish for a very long time and I am absolutely terrible. He makes fun of me all the time. OMG, we couldn't believe that spoon held up straight in the clam chowder! The shrimp cocktail looked pretty good, too. Big Al's Pan Roast got Chris excited. He really enjoyed the one at Sunset Station's Oyster Bar. Chris wants to know if you were able to select your spice level. One or both of you always tend(s) to order exactly what we would order, so it's so helpful to watch your videos. We've had Ping Pang Pong on our list for a long time, but have not made it to Gold Coast yet. So glad we saw this before we made the trip! Bill at 24:00 had us both rolling!!! We had to rewind and watch that part a couple times :)

Twice-a-year Las Vegas visitor; I always stay at the Orleans, and I also visit Big Al's at least once. (The unmentionable disease has kind-of put a damper on recent visits.) Big Al's New England Clam chowder is always good; yea, I know they call it "Boston," but it's New England style. A dab of hot sauce makes it especially tasty. Of late, I'm on a "Lisa's and Bill's" binge-watching spree.

Yes, Ping Pang Pong is always touted as excellent, but I've been there twice and it's really not that great. Service is always poor. You can definitely do better in Chinatown. Looking forward to trying Amalfis in the future!

Great review as always. Loved it! I still highly recommend the Red Iguana in Salt Lake City. It's a quick light rail ride from the airport. You need to try the mango enchiladas if you go. Spectacular!

That was a great tour of some great food in Vegas! The Mexican restaurant looked excellent and made me want some menuto - yum! Hope you can do a tour of Chinatown Las Vegas on Spring Mountain Road - will be interesting! I used to call the dumpling a half-moon dumpling when I used buy them in Chinatown Honolulu.
