I know a couple of EMTs here in Vegas. They say every time it rains anywhere in or around the valley (even just lightly), at least 20 people drown in the sewers. Not only does this happen, but they aren't allowed to go into the sewers either. So anytime someone overdoses down there and manages to call 911, they still have to get themselves to the nearest tunnel entrance. Which can mean miles of walking through pitch black drainage tunnels... Only to find out the ambulance is at a completely different entrance. But on the bright side, I loved seeing spunch bob whenever I went to work earlier this month. Da Bob made the grind a little less tedious

It's a disturbing truth that underscores the depths of exploitation and manipulation rampant in our society. Been a Vegas resident for 3 years and what shocked me about Vegas is that it has these multi billion dollar casinos and hotels but it has a minimum wage of 9.25. And It has The second highest food cost in the nation. literally all of the roads are destroyed and never get fixed. Plus it has the highest rate of drunk drivers. So insurance is double. It has one of the highest housing costs, the worst rated education system and worst rated healthcare. Not to mention several parts of the city experience literal black outs where the street lights don’t even work. And is literally one of the hottest places on earth. DO NOT MOVE YEAR. currently saving up to leave asap.

As a Mexican who is mistaken for a Japanese and speaks with an Arabic accent, I must say that the one time I traveled to Las Vegas I was surprised that I never had to speak English. And I don't like gambling so I spent my time visiting strip clubs. And no I don't have fentanyl.

Why would you be surprised? It’s a city with a Spanish name, established by the Spanish, in former Mexican territory, with a huge Mexican population.

German here. I think this video is spot an as it's in line with my personal experience. I visited the USA last year for the first time and I have to say I was shocked. I went to Honolulu and San Francisco. Some american guy told me that San Francisco is the best city in the country. Well, if that is the best city, then I don't want to know what the other cities are like. There were homeless people at every corner! Many of them were full of drugs and quite aggressive so that they have security personnel at the hotel entrances! As to Honolulu: I love the Hawaiian islands, the nature... But then again, it's unfortunately part of the USA, so: homeless people everywhere. I really don't get this. How can a country treat its people so badly? Then I realized that USA is indeed a totally different system than Europe. While not everything is perfect in Germany or Europe in general and there is a lot to criticize, people are treated like humans here.

As a person who was born and raised in Vegas and lived here pretty much my whole life, this is accurate but only if you're a tourist, most people who actually live here almost NEVER go to the strip, its kinda just a place we put out of our minds and enjoy the lack of state income tax. Its a sad reality but there is quite literally nothing that can be done about this situation especially with Californians and influencers migrating here like a great flood took place lol. From a local, 10/10 vid lmao

I have the fakest life in the world. I live in Las Vegas and work in fake Venice as a fake gondolier while rowing a fake boat in a fake canal singing fake Italian songs while being encouraged to fake an Italian accent. And I’m still somehow less fake than all the rich tourists that visit.
@someguy37638 ай бұрын
In fact, Las Vegas is so fake that the actual 7 mile strip of land talked about in this video isn’t Las Vegas. It’s in “unincorporated Clark County” just outside the limits of actual Las Vegas because when the Chicago mob built their first casino, they did it to avoid cops restricted to city limits and put it right next to a highway. And it stayed this way when the mob eventually lost power because a bonus to this quirk is that the people owning the property don’t have to pay as much tax to the city too.

My mom is a gambling addict. It’s really no joke. We went to Las Vegas for my 21st. I had an absolute blast, because well, I don’t gamble. Everything in Las Vegas is so cheap because they make their money back on gambling tenfold. They were getting really annoyed with me because I would do no gambling. I’d go get cheaper free drinks, go watch some shows, some street performances, and have a cigar. The little gambling I did was very cheap. I made $100 stretch two days. On the third day, I was standing next to my mom who was gambling and she was sweating from excitement. She turned me and said give me $100. She had an animalistic look in her eye and I gave her the hundred dollars and she lost it and just said she would give me another hundred later. $100 gone in an instant that I used to go see three shows get drunk and have a good time.

@@MrJimheeren plutocracy. the power (money) all lies in the hands of the 1% of the 1%. What you can do is this: understand there is a problem. Take measures to fix it. Start by becoming as competent as you possibly can, in every way you possibly can. The absurdly wealthy fear the power that lies in the hands of competent citizens who take responsibility for their communities. This is why community has been demonized and emphasis placed on the subjective identity of the individual. Once you become fairly skilled, you may be able to convince people to join you. Once you are extremely capable, people will beg to be like you. Teach them that resistance is not futile and never has been.
