The biggest mistake that AP made was hiring Getsy and allowing him to change from power block scheme to zone block scheme. Turner has the O looking much better and he has his hands tied because he is using the Getsy playbook.

AP was in on the interview, but his boss Telesco finalized the hiring. Now I know Telesco is given a mulligan because of this draft class. But Getsy Hiring was on both of them. 1st off, nobody has any business hiring anyone from Chicago. But the one clear fact about this Org is Champ & The Scouting Staff for the Raiders is the best they have had in the last 15 yrs. Telesco is like QB to much credit for some things and not enough for other things. Tellesco Draft with Champ A+, Free Agency D- , Getsy with F - - . I they Draft like last yr 1. BOWERS 1. Travis Hunter 2nd QB or trade back into 1st for QB . Then all good

@@leonhughes5332 I agree with what you say. The Getsy hiring was the single biggest mistake the organization made. But at the time of the hiring, I often wonder who else was available. When Kingsbury moved on to the Commanders I can't help but wonder who headlined the leftover pile. Was Getsy the best available in a pile of rejects and has beens who had previous OC experience? Who knows--no one ever shares that list with the fan base. That is why I credit AP for firing Getsy when he did. I think AP deserves another year with a real OC and a promising rookie QB to pair with AOC. He deserves the benefit of doubt and I think the fans should cool the "get rid of AP" talk. We can't keep swapping out coaching staffs year after year, especially when there is no certain guarantee the new guy you bring in will fare any better. Nope! We ride with AP in 2025.

@KurtAlbers I agree with calming down the firing of AP. I think Scott Turner should have been evaluated better , I think Texas Tech QB coach should have gotten a interview. MIami and Alabama OC's also. There offenses that are inovativ3 allowing the running game and the passing game to evolve and if you do change over to a Rookie QB then the transition is faster and more effective. NFL 49ers QB Coach, Packers QB coach , Steal from.Andy Ried staff . My other question is why did they wait so long to fire Getsy . Running plays in Training camp are always better than real games . AOC & Minshew were QB rating on a good 58 & 59 then Turner comes in and AOC comes back and he something like 126 QB Rating almost perfect outside the hash marks which really helped Bowers who was already all world. Looked like a 1st yr HOFER . He dominated space and coverage and in KC's Def. Also opening up the running game. Literally you fire Getsy week 2 ok 4 were talking playoffs. Thanks to Getsy Suicide Hotlines are getting Overtime. We're forming which hunts , it's raining dogs and cats and it Armageddon in Raiders Land.

@@leonhughes5332part of the problem was a two week delay hiring AP, and then there was a delay hiring Telesco. The draft was getting closer so i think they rushed into Getsy. There is someone in the organization other than MD pulling strings. That is the problem.

Turner has more OC experience than Getsy! Am I wrong? If not, it's inexplicable as to why they would hire Getsy. Goofy decisions time after time.

I want AP and turner to succeed for continuity because i hate the idea of a new coach coming in and changing systems/schemes and then turning the roster over to get " HIS" players. I think Graham and the Defense can be good if we can get our guys back. Missing 5 starters on the D is not something you can overcome

Dennis...I couldn't agree more.i said this a couple weeks ago.if Mark decides to let AP go,you name Norv HC.i have alot of confidence in Norv & son.thats the move you make,and for the same reasons you mentioned.any new head coach you bring in would change everything.i think Norv would be a perfect fit.

The tank idea is crazy! You will never find out what players are good passionate or of value and who the scrubs are if you start “tanking.” They need to ball out until the season is over so we know what we have and need. We have to pick the best player available(more broc picks), trade up if there is a QB/player we absolutely want (ie the pat mohomes trade)or pick the best available player that fits a need.

On Friday we saw the false start call by the ref at the snap always kills the play immediately unless you fumble against kc rule

You don’t mention the quarterback he wanted to go up and trade for is balling out. He can’t help no one wanted to trade down. You don’t mention how the team still has his back. @@Raid3rNation94AP drove Adams out. AP with his business decisions public comments was rough. Obviously that was the last straw for Adams. AP saying the Raiders are the worst team in the NFL was terrible. He publicly said that. AP seems clueless at times. Obviously he wasn’t ready to be a head coach, but fans, players, media basically demanded his hiring and Mr Davis really had no choice. They’ve lost 8 strait. It’s been 2 months since they’ve won a damn game. AP lost the KC game himself. It’s very likely the Raiders will end the year on a 13 game losing streak. No fuckin way you keep AP. Impossible.

Doesn't matter what your argument is, he hired him. AP didn't draft anyone, Telesco did. AP is a liability. AP drove Adams out.

Exactly. Raiders record and play be a lot different if we didn’t have Getsy as OC. We be playing for something. Now it’s too late. Now both my kids say they’re not raiders fans because they always lose. Born and raised as raiders fans but all they know is the team losing. I tell them like whatever you like but I understand and tried to bring them into the Nation. Hopefully things turn around and see consistency

If you can’t see the end of the game mismanagement by the “HC” and the OC go back and watch the end of the game again. AOC didn’t spike the ball with all the time left on his own. How can a Super Bowl winning player not have a clue about clock management. AP should be fired 15 minutes after the last game regardless of what happens in the next 5 games.

i think part of the problem are some of the lame excuses we get on wrong calls, from we didnt have that camera angle (that we can see at home, 1 was that angle was not in every stadium so we cant use it) or that part of the play that we can all see is not reviewable (a few weeks ago obvious call to negate the play but 1 part was not reviewable are you kidding me)

@ AP is not Campbell. Detroit had zero talent. I don’t recall Dan publicly indulging his players and saying the Lions were the worst team in the NFL. Detroit simply had no talent. But I doubt AP gets fired unless Tommy Brady fires him, which is very possible. Tommy will be able to tell if AP has it or not.

22:04 people forget Andy Reid was on 2 teams before landing in KC. In Philadelphia, they lost a couple conference championship games because of some bad game management decisions. Ultimately that's why he was let go. Comes to KC and you never see those mistakes

All that’s true except the last bit. Living in KC, have a lot of friends that are Chiefs fans and many were very loud about his clock/game management issues early on in KC. One impatient idiot insisted he still needed to be fired after he’d won a Chiefs SuperBowl. Said Mahomes needed a better coach to reach his potential. 😂

AP seems like a very likable guy but the guy is terrible at managing a game, I mean terrible. He’s made some bad decisions but this last game really showed how bad he is. He’s probably worse than Brandon Staley and I hope we don’t have to see any more of it next season.
