1978, When I turned 21, my grandpa took me to Vegas to teach me craps. Prior to the trip, he insisted I get fitted for a conservative business suit and get a haircut. He said you will receive much better respect and service. He advised always tip at least two bucks for drinks, three if the cocktail waitress is a knock-out an returns frequently but no alcohol while playing craps only soft drinks or virgin cocktails. Slot machines I could drink alcohol but no more than two cocktails. It was fun. I won over 600 bucks under his tutelage and first and last time I played craps. My grandparents would visit Vegas once a year. I remember traveling with them a few times when younger. We would leave at sundown to avoid the heat. I remember seeing so many jack rabbits and occasional snake slaughtered on the the highway.
