I did enjoy going to Fremont Street during my past trip to Vegas last June and wining money at Golden Gate Casino. Unfortunately it was a one time thing because when I went back to Fremont Street and played Golden Gate again and tried the other casinos, it didn't go well. My last night in Vegas I won money playing blackjack at New York New York Casino compared to playing on Fremont Street. I'm probably basing my negativity on how it went for me playing blackjack on Fremont Street compared to the Vegas Strip and it doesn't mean I won't go back to Fremont Street again. Great video Melissa😊

@Melissa and Enrique -- Great vlog -- and you did a fine job, nice professional editing and analysis, and you clearly compared both main Las Vegas tourist areas - Fremont Street and The Las Vegas Strip - separate areas of a great city. I don't agree with poster Mike Campbell7677 , who claims your vlog made Las Vegas more confusing! Mike's other takes on the 'soft underbelly lissues ' were nonsense. Have no idea why he threw so much shade at Fremont-which is an incredible place to stay and play, and also a great area to learn some Las Vegas history, (at the Mob Museum), too. Best Regards, Bob Custer.

Melissa, this was a good comparison video… though it might actually make it an even more confusing decision for newbies planning their very first sojourn to Sin City. You and Enrique did a really good job of highlighting the merits of both the Strip and Fremont Street. However, I do think the deciding factors of choosing one over the other lie in the downsides. To flush out the decision making factors, you needed to focus attention on the underbelly issues that tarnish the reputation of the entertainment zones and contribute to the negative sides of their well deserved reputations amping up the debauchery and don’t ask/don’t tell mentality of Sin City. Personally, when looking at the pros and cons of where to situate for a vacation, there is a very clear winner. I would choose the Strip over Fremont every time as there are simply not enough merits to the downtown are to overcome it’s deficits. Fremont is okay as an excursion for a few hours but satisfaction with the “experience” soon fades and the environment would not suffice for an entire weekend ket alone a longer stay. That said, I will grab that $11.99 prime rib special and maybe even a couple $2 beer and hot dog combos before fleeing downtown, hoping on the Deuce Bus and heading back to my more comfy digs and entertainment options I can enjoy mid Strip!
@bobcuster89304 ай бұрын
Mike - We don't agree with much of your analysis.. For example you claimed: "the underbelly issues that tarnish the reputation of the entertainment zones and contribute to the negative sides of their well deserved reputations amping up the debauchery and don’t ask/don’t tell mentality of Sin City" That is nonsense. From what you wrote, Mike, it appears you don't know Las Vegas or Nevada terribly well. Every metro in the world has 'underbelly' issues. Everyone knows Las Vegas is a large metro, a bigtime and world renowned entertainment and gambling city. Mike, you give the distinct impression there is all kinds of "debauchery " going on. However, there is much more to do in Las Vegas and Nevada then what you perceive is going on. And you throwing shade on Fremont Street is almost amusing to authentic Las Vegas veterans. Fremont Street is the best area for many visitors and Las egas and Nevada locals to really experience experience Las Vegas.. Our family has been here in Nevada since 1864, (yes) and it is irritating to most long time Nevadans to see someone posting tired and worn stereotypes about Nevada. Thanks.
