Nice! My family's traditional Sicilian lasagna recipe also calls for using tiny meatballs. We usually do it as a two day process. Once day make the homemade big meatballs & spaghetti sauce with extra sauce leftover and then the next day can use the the sauce to make the lasagna. It's important for the sauce to cook on low heat for many hours or it will not be good.

This looks insanely good. I'm ready to do something blasphemous and forego the Easter ham for this. I got my autographed cookbook yesterday and I absolutely love it!!! I have a ton of cookbooks, but this is a work of art by comparison. It's GORGEOUS! The design, the stories, the food... it will definitely get a ton of use. Congratulations on a huge success!!!

Katie Stegman in my family it was always lasagna for Easter. Oh and also Italian Easter meat pie. Also known as prosciutto pie or pizza rustica. And Italian pastries. And Italian Egg bread. So different from American traditional Easter. No rules. Do as you like.

Hi. I've got to send you photos of how my Grandmother made her Lasagna! I'll be making it her way (RIP) this Easter too. (tiny meatballs, hard boiled eggs, sliced salami, grated cheese, ricotta, mozzarella, pasta) Layer by layer...
@lahaina1206087 жыл бұрын
membernypd that's how my grandmother always made hers too. With the sliced egg and salami and ricotta.

Looks so delish.....Way too long of a video tho....I had to skip thru several times, but it still kept me interested till the end....But, it could definitely have been done in 15 min or less....I also thought that you'd make some homemade pasta rags....That's what I do, especially when you have such a wonderful recipe like this :) TY for sharing :)

Lovin the video so far.....Why didn't you use the olive oil from frying the meatballs when making the sauce instead of using more oil??? Seems like a waste....KK I'm gonna watch the rest now....Can't wait to see what's next :)

Rosella, you pulled the plate that you both were eating from out of Nonna hand. It seemed, to me, that she resisted some? Maybe even a slight look of disappointment because she wanted more? Please let her know that it would have been so funny if she just pushed you away and grabbed the plate. Maybe next time...
