Laser level repair. Powered with higher voltage

Laser level repair. It was powered from 12 volts power supply in spite of 5 volts input. But after repair it actually can be powered even from 12 volts.

my laser level fasget 4d wont turn on if i connect it to external power source. like he need original battery with some electronics in it to work. but battery have only 2 connectors to laser so i dont think this is reason.

What is the purpose of the tiny wires located on top?

They are so tiny not to affect accuracy - if they where stiff it would not work properly.
