----------FAQs----------
Q) Can it play Video?
A) Not in the way a home cinema projector plays videos - however pre-recorded line drawn animations are a possibility with the right player software. Here’s an example / 776462775505694720
Q) Can you use it to play Oscilloscope demos?
A) Yes with the right software this could work as a giant oscilloscope display.
Q) What kind of games could you display on a laser projector?
A) There is a limitation to the number of lines that can be shown at any one time - however here is a demonstration of a simple laser game • Laser super hexagon
Q) Can you put the handle/mount on upside-down?
A) Yes it can be unscrewed and put back on the bottom...however there is absolutely no point as the image can be flipped in software and when the handle is on the bottom it won't move fully forward or back, so the LaserDock will no longer fit in its case.
Q) Why was this video uploaded twice?
A) Somehow the first upload of this video got corrupted on youtube so it had to be re-uploaded. It takes a while to upload & process a 5GB file, the video was not available during this period.
Q) Actually...I think you'll find that it's not the "worlds first"....blah blah blah..
A) The title of this video contains a quote (identifiable by the quote marks) from here www.wickedlaser... Take up any grievances you have with them.
Q) What is the point of the Interlock?
A) The item provided in the box is a simple wire bridge between two points - this can be extended out to a separate switch used to deactivate the projector remotely (as projectors are commonly installed out of reach they could be difficult to turn off) - here is an example of a switch en.beglec.com/p...
Q) What do the FDA have to do with approving a laser device for use in the USA?
A) Here's the appropriate page on their website www.fda.gov/rad...
Q) What do the insides look like?
A) This: c1.iggcdn.com/...

The power connector is a powerCon by Neutrik (if it's genuine), those are really neat little connectors.
@elbiggus
@elbiggus 8 жыл бұрын
I think it's a "clone" -- I can't see any branding on the plug or socket, and I've only ever seen the silver latch on speakON plugs.
@caloss2
@caloss2 8 жыл бұрын
It was a genuine one, I've fitted hundreds of them, it had their name on it, [ top of the insert shaft embossed ] top kit for live/installation gear.
@elbiggus
@elbiggus 8 жыл бұрын
I'm unconvinced; if it were genuine then the socket should have Neutrik embossed on it at the bottom of the outer ring, and the right side of the plug (the one visible when he plugs it in) should have some sort of "Do not disassemble" warning printed on it. Also, unless they've changed recently, the solid blue (20A) powerCON connectors have a yellow latch. The only blue ones with a silver latch are speakON connectors, and while the 30A powerCON does have a silver latch it's a different shape and the barrel is grey.
@caloss2
@caloss2 8 жыл бұрын
***** Ok, watch the video again this time in 4k, then buy 100 units from Neutrik directly, fit them to all your bands cables and then come back and tell us what they look like. The powerCon have had silver metal latches since 2012.

They're good connectors and can handle quite a bit of power - 30 amps if memory served me correctly. My ion laser power supply MK IV uses one to carry the filament current to the plasma tube (25 amps at 2.5v DC)

Holy macaroni that’s a bloody good bit of kit! I run an internet radio station, it’s a sub of the longest running hardcore record label & I do a weekly show that I also upload the video to KZbin, not on this account as this is my personal account. Anyhoo, I have a fair amount of the led laser effect lights & for my show they work amazing, I do have a 400w smoke machine also to make them look better. This has intrigued me immensely, not for my radio show but the label I work for we are going to be putting on club nights later this year & I think this could be an ideal bit of bit for that! After all ravers love lasers!😂 Matt thanks for bringing this to my attention, albeit a few years later!😂 I had never found this whilst searching for proper laser systems before!👍🏻

this device is amazing for the money. laser technology has come a long way In the last few years. I remember at a concert I ran sound for, they brought in a single color green laser projector that was the size of two large chest freezers stacked on top of eachother with a giant fiber optic cable and a large remote output device that controlled the position of the beam. it was liquid cooled and ran off of 240v here in the US and I wouldn't be surprised if it consumed 30A. it was computer controlled via a serial controller and was very, very finicky to use. the thing weighed about 500lbs. by today's standards it's an antique but I wouldn't be surprised if this thing is really appealing to most venue owners and rental companies. I wonder how it would preform on a large scale and I also wonder if you could use multiple units driven by one laptop.

Well, not quite "Fantasia", but definitely better than 60s "Color Organs" with the colored Christmas tree lights behind a plastic diffuser. That is the nuts very impressed with the quality i love the industrial look make a bloody feature out of the heat sink i love heat sinks its what i miss on a water cooled pc BUT I had one in the 80s plastic of course, not as fancy i took it apart to find one static laser beam which was red but hit a coloured disk which would spin at certain bass sounds going through changing the colour it then hits a mirror, this then would reflect the image to a visual state is what ur after on any wall or ceiling going through a lens which had adjustments and focus as i write im remembering and having to add the mirror had a speaker coil under it which made the mirror move with the sound around the mirror it had 4 rubber arms attaching it to the built in speaker coil and magnet this must've been a better idea at the time coz it worked for years even after me dropping it several times I was 10 and i loved it so did my friends then it started doing the same pattern a rubber arm had snapped then the colour never changed the motor died which made the coloured disc spin but it got me into my music more so earlier the last time i remember thinking about it was at a rave World Dance seeing the lasers there ooh i can do that then i forgot until now ! Where did i put it ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? dont know ??????? i didnt chuck it ?? if i find it TECHMOAN is getting it in the post lol
