Thank you for this Jeremy! I am a bladesmith as well, and just had a local laser shop absolutely ruin a twist damascus knife that I had forged and sold, by butchering my makers mark. My brother suggested me doing it myself and I didn’t know where to start looking.

How deep would this engrave in aluminum? (I need something that could engrave about .0625 to .125 in aluminum stock, like for engraving on a rifle receiver.) Thanks
