Laserwash 4000 - Turbo Car Wash, Jefferson City, MO (2015 Revisit)

Ah, good 'ol Turbo Car Wash. It's the first car wash I remember going through as a child, and it's still going strong today... well, sort of. The Laserwash 4000 was having a bit of a hard time on this particular visit. In any case, I'm still quite fond of this place. Hope you enjoy a 2015 update!

It's nice to share a bit of nostalgia to us. My very first automatic car wash I went to as a little kid is the mini-tunnel wash at a 1970s spanish villa-style Shell station we used to have in my area. But sadly, it's been demolished, and it is now a Wells Fargo bank.

RIP Laserwash 4000 as Turbo car wash was demolished for a parking lot, the sign is still there but no car wash.

The faucet on the spray arm tends to spray any excess water out before presoak, Rain-x sealant, or Spot-Free Rinse cycles. Also, it's pretty funny that the arm glitches when the beeps continue.

I went to Car Wash Express in Richmond Hill, GA right off on Mulberry Commercial Pkwy for very long time there was two PDQ LaserWash 4000 in the automatic bay systems.

I've been through a laserwash 4000 back in 2009 at a Shell station where I live so. obviously not there anymore. It has been replaced by a Macneil tunnel.

OH YEAH I REMEMBER THAT ONE, back then we always did the brown bear across from it sadly :(

I think it did that because the high pressure was connected to the same power as the sonar sensors. So, it would make the power jump to start the pumps, which caused the sensors to reset. it eventually got fixed.

That machine looked horrible and poorly cared for. PDQ LW4000s can be excellent (but slow) if cared for properly. Very sad to see one in such a poor state.
