Try a Constrictor knot instead

What we see here is the reason why nuts and bolts, welding, steelbars and concrete was invented. In reality it all slips and slides and folds over. Barely good enough to hang wet clothes on.

Haul that equipment out camping or anywhere in case it's needed where a length of rope can fill in or accomplish so many things .
