For a 9V battery, 61mA, that is BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe a backpack car battery might do better :) .seriously though, I am impressed such a probe exists, but does it cost less than a house?

It is not an insignificant current draw, but the battery life is still reasonable if you remember to switch it off after using it. Replacing the 9V with a litium battery or other floating supply is also an option.

@@stevenbliss989 It does cost quite a bit less than a house. Around $225.

@@LasmuxDevices A floating (VERY HIGH & LOW CAPACITANCE ISOLATION) supply would be good, and if I ever need this probe I could build one.

@@LasmuxDevices It is for a 9V battery. Lithium might do better, although with the smaller cell inside the pack, along with a boost converter, might not be so much.
