Lassie and Timmy help a guide dog regain its confidence when a near motorcycle accident causes the dog to become frightened near traffic.
TRIVIA: (per wikipedia.org) The "car" on the track (where Duke saves his blind owner) is called a "speeder". They were the motorized descendant of the old hand car, and were also known as a railway motor car, putt-putt, track-maintenance car, crew car, jigger, trike, quad, trolley or inspection car. It was used by track inspectors and work crews to move quickly to and from work sites, and although it is slow compared to a train or car, it is called speeder because it is faster than the human-powered handcar which had to be hand pumped to move. Motorised inspection cars date back to at least 1896, when it was reported that the U.S. Daimler Motor Company created a gasoline powered rail inspection car capable of 15 mph. In the 1990s, speeders were replaced with regular pickup trucks using a detachable set of rail wheels so that the vehicles could be used on both the rails and normal roads. The Speeders, no longer in use, became a collector's item. Many were refurbished and used for excursions and exhibitions through the U.S. and Canada and in Australia.
