Lassie - Episode

Timmy's gift to his mother for Mother's Day is accidentally switched by the store clerk for another, more expensive gift from a classmate to her mother. When Timmy sees how happy his mother is to get the more expensive gift, he decides not to tell her the truth, but rather to try to come up with the cost difference by crawling into a drain pipe to find a pipe worker's lost watch for the reward money.
TRIVIA: Real life mother and daughter - executive producer Bonita Granville Wrather and her daughter Linda Wrather play Mrs. Brewster and her daughter Willy. Bonita Wrather comes across beautifully on the screen as a very accomplished actress. It's a shame she didn't get more parts on Lassie - she was really wonderful in her role.
