No way a boring kit lass ! I love our 'famous all white strip ' as many commentators have described it over the years . We used to play in a blue shirt with a gold trim right up to the 1960s then Don Revie changed it to the all white then later blue and gold trims were added. The commonest reason given for the change was he wanted to emulate Real Madrid who were the best team in the world at the time but the real reason was being ahead of his peers he always thought out of the box and he realised that under the poor strength floodlights of that era his players could pick out teammates for quick passes much more easily if they wore all white .
