The grid is way more competitive compared to 8 years ago. The bikes are more evenly matched and the talent level is high

You put 2008-2010's Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner, Pedrosa in today's grid and you'll realize that today's riders are just above average in terms of talent. It is just the machines which are developed not the rider level!

Well, Ducati was always strong on Losail circuit in recent years, but you need to have a proper rider to handle that beast of a motorcycle. Jack Miller set the bar for other guys. Francesco Bagnaia tried hard, but second-year Jorge Martín beat him at last. Marc Márquez tried to gain from the tow behind Bagnaia, but he cannot get more than P3. And that Bastianini's final flying lap...the whole Q2 video cameras and commentators didn't give a damn about the guy and then BOOM! he's P2 on the grid :-) I thought Yamahas won't do very well but seeing both factory machines in the middle of the grid is really under par performance. And I also expected more from KTM, especially from Oliveira. But it is just the first race of the season, plenty of races and qualifying sessions on other various tracks will show who is the one worthy the chamipon's title.

In the past, since Nick Harris stopped being a commentator, I had to adjust a few months to be cool with Steve Day... And after that I think Steve Day and Matt Birt are two really crazy commentators and can liven up an exciting MotoGP atmosphere... This time Steve Day stopped being a Commentator and I looked at Simon, I think Simon is a lot more quiet and MotoGP feels like something is missing...
