because he was outside near the trade centers in lower manhattan responding to a routine gas leak. he heard and saw the plane crash into the building. I'm thinking that after 9/11 happened when they made the timeline is when he figured out the exact time.

@@goranpavlovic9051 people in that area of Manhattan wouldn’t hear a plane so loud and low. It definitely would grab your attention that an airplane was flying around 1500 ft directly over Manhattan.
