Man, you talk about the critics getting this one COMPLETELY wrong. This movie was AWESOME and a really brilliant satirical take in the action genre. Definitely one of my favorite Arnold flicks.

Most people like this movie today it has a large fan base. It flopped upon release but is mostly liked or loved today by audiences. The same director did Predator and Die Hard he needs to come back and direct again.

Awesome! Thanks for uploading this. I taped this special off cable TV the summer the movie came out. Sadly I later lost the tape so I was never able to watch it again till now. I don’t think they ever aired it again after that summer.

True Lies came after this and was a big hit. Last Action Hero flopped ar the time because it was to meta for audiences at the time its a satire send up of Cop action flicks like Lethal Weapon also written by Shane Black. Arnold was the biggest star in the world at the time today he's well k own but not the superstar he used to be however both Arnold and Sly are still huge overseas there still popular in the foreign market but not the US market.

Well that was kind of I think the point because you have a kid who him and his mom are low income as far as The movie makes it out to me and live in a low rent apartment they don't have much but what he has it has his idols his movie star imovie star idol Arnold Schwarzenegger and his set of films the Jack Slater films so him being annoying and obnoxious is just the fact that he gets to meet his idol and it's unrealistic in thin the sense for him but but the fact That is happening makes it all more the real because how many kids I at his age back then especially before social media before anything before they can follow their favorite movie star or songwriter and maybe even message them so the fact is he gets to live every kid's fantasy of his age of his age back at that moment in time So hes gonna be a little obnoxious and annoying
