Night Film is INCREDIBLE, one of my favorite books of all time. It pulls you in so many different directions and the atmosphere is so spot on. You’re never bored while reading it, and the mixed media was really fun too. It’s just perfect in my opinion!

The Secret History is one of my all time favorite books. Donna Tartt can pretty much write about nothing and I'll read it. I don't know how to describe it but she is one gifted writer. She only comes out with one novel every 10 years but once it comes out its an instant best seller. Rebecca is also another one of my favorites and love the edition you got!! Enjoy! Great haul!!

So many great books! The Secret History, Dracula, Rebecca, Poe's stories- those are some of my favorite books! And you mentioned quite a few I would like to read and are on my never ending TBR. oooh, my favorite movie is based on The Talented Mr. Ripley. I haven't read the book but I've seen two adaptations of it- the 1999 American adaptation and, as I just said, my favorite film: Plein Soleil (AKA Purple Noon) (1960). It's a French film.

I love them so much (but know that ‘the horse abs his boy + prince caspian’ are a bit slow and not as action packed and interesting as the rest) My rank from worst to best of the books: 7) the horse and his boy 6) prince caspian 5) the last battle 4) the lion the witch and the wardrobe 3) the magicians nephew 2) the silver chair 1) the voyage of the dawn treader

“If We Were Villains” is definitely not a YA book! It takes place at a university and has some adult themes. It is very similar, genre wise, to “The Secret History” by Donna Tartt.
@leahclarkmusic57623 жыл бұрын
I feel like adult themes are okay for YA because it’s 18+ readers
@zoemurphy41593 жыл бұрын
@@leahclarkmusic5762 hello, I’m a librarian first off. Second, idk where you’re from that YA is 18+ but in the US it means teen unless you’re Sarah J Maas and don’t give a crap. I’m all for letting young people read what they want, but categorising it somewhere where the author intended it not to be is probably not good. Kinda like how Nevernight is put in the YA section when Jay Kristoff, the author, and his publishers categorised it in Adult because of certain topics and themes. Don’t get me wrong, a young person still has every right to pick it up and read it, but the catergories are there for a reason, so that the reader can know what sort of content they’re getting into.
