This is the X vs Zero Breus/Cannonball Mythos of the classic series. I mean, sure everyone is requesting Mega Man vs Bass, but their battles have never actually been much more then butting heads. Sunstar on the other hand, would have destroyed the world, after all. He should be superior to the Wily Star, witch destroyed a planet about a quarter the size of Jupiter, give or take.

Quite literally nobody would be able to stop Sunstar. Sure, maybe for some reason a new robot better than Mega Man appears and destroys Sunstar, but chances are he'll kill everybody on Earth which will probably end up meaning X would probably not exist, meaning Reploids wouldn't exist and all of Mega Man X would have never happened. On top of this, several other planets would probably be rid of any living creatures there too. Mass extinction would happen and before you know it, Sunstar rules the universe (unless some otherworldly godlike being comes out of nowhere). I don't think people realize just how important it was for Mega Man to defeat Sunstar.

Well technically there *could* be a shot if Protoman gets his unstable nuclear core weaponised, like Sunstar is tough but his own core is his undoing, a nuke at point blank range (Hence why Protoman would be needed since hes the only one that could at least reach Sunstar without getting Sunbeamed, if Megaman could so can he its just he cant damage Sunstar unless he chances in on dead Megaman's weapon, or the self destruct hoping to damage the Sun core. Otherwise nothing. Like even X and Zero if they were already finished wouldnt have reached their peak potential , not for way over a century for X because the armors definitly wouldnt be finished, and Zero would be unstable as hell at best, and thus wouldnt stand a chance too
