I own 2 different copies and the translations are different. I looked up a dozen different copies on the internet and all those copies are slightly different. So saying they are all the same is a HUGE lie and a dangerous one because when a new convert gets one and has been led to believe they are all the same he doesn't question when his book says chase down and kill anyone who does not agree with you. Which one of the 100 or so different versions did you read? There are 7 different versions in Arabic alone, the Saudi version is vastly different from the Moroccan version. I own 2 different versions in English, they are not the same. In 2007 a women "translated" the Quran, she changed 4:34 to say (make her go away) instead of beat her. So, again I say that you have never read the Quran. And you are defending something you never even saw... the REAL Quran.

You do know that other groups of Muslims do not use the Hadith at all right? They go strictly by the Quran and since the Quran says beat them, they beat them, most often with electric cables, which ironically were not even around back when it was written. You have YOUR interpretation of it and other people have their own interpretation, so don't try to act like you speak for Islam.
